The time of year isn’t ideal for the majority of the US and all of Canada going into winter. No such thing as free money anymore so maybe the market corrects 10% over the next few months. Recession possible as well. I always find the hunt just as fun as getting the car you were after. And yes, to some $10-20k off waiting a few months makes a big difference.
Stock market just had a huge rally, friend of mine called for a 430k PTS Speedster that was listed and it had a deposit within 5 hours of being listed. Tons of $ is still out there that wants special cars.

Not sure I agree. That car just posted has 5k more miles in 2 years and price went up by 30k in that time frame. Not my cup of tea for spec personally because inside looks a bit plain. -50k would be nice though. Car market is in need of a correction imo.

You realize prices are lower in the winter due to the time of year so if its not "ideal" and you wait for summer, historically prices bounce back in the summer and go up.

My advice is be picky for the right car and be ready to buy it when it comes along. A deal feels good but if your life changes from a $10k swing, you truly shouldn’t be buying a $200k plus toy.
not aiming that at you OP…talking aloud.

I have always enjoyed the "low prices will come soon" speculating that sets in here in cycles. I used to wait wringing my hands for just that. Never really happened before I just broke and bought what I wanted. Then prices dropped lol!!! But I got that behind me and am much happier "on the other side". Just don't see big swings with the stuff we all love (GT/RS) --big swings could be relative I guess but 10% to me is about as big as I ever see. I hope everyone finds what they want at a price they can live with--and then enjoy life!

People keep forgetting that $200k two years ago is the equivalent of $228k today. Your money is worth less so some of the price inflation over time is a result of massive inflation…not just “a crazy market”.

As someone who bought my car in Fall 2022.. prices sure seem pretty "sensible" right now, comparatively speaking. Could go down further, could stay the same for awhile yet or even go up. I have no regrets and would gladly take the last year's worth of smiles and miles for the 10k or whatever extra that I paid.

I just purchased my first GT (RS) car. Waited 17 years. Found a car I liked at a local dealer that was in immaculate condition and had a CPO warranty on it. It's a 991.1 and I absolutely love it. It's a dream come true. I couldn't justify the extra 30-50k for a 991.2 or a nicer spec (my car is pretty basic - just the necessities). Personally, I think prices will probably continue to dip given market conditions and will hopefully tick back up in the future. 992 price points are a significant increase over where the 991s are. I'm not sure we're going to be seeing 992 GT3 RS in the mid 200s in the near future, meaning the 200 +/- range for a 991 seems reasonable.

i dont think that was supposed to be made public. $30k over msrp for a stripper seems a bit high.
