Haven't picked up yet. Dealer needs to inspect it and take it into inventory. And need to resolve the brake issue, I'm not convinced that it's normal for the car to require a lot of brake pressure to slow it.

Ok that's interesting... My iron conversion (yellow caliper) RS is a noticeably softer brake pedal than my factory iron (red caliper) base. More travel to get into the meat of the stopping power.

Not sure how much brake pressure we're talking.

I will go as far as to state that you would have to pay me money to be seen inside that car. Its the kind of car you just look at to appreciate the engineering but way too much for what most of us do with these cars. The wing looks disproportionately large. The front scoops dont really fit in to the overall design. The wheel arches that are exposed are just disaster waiting to happen. You drive this car in a highway and in 20-25 miles you will have sizeable chips on your door or rear bumper. PPF will protect the paint yes, but you as the owner will just stare at the PPF marks now. The chips still looks really poor be it on the paint vs ppf.

I think 991.2 RS is the best balance of analog, old school 911, race car, aggressive but understated and classy look. I dont like the 992 GT3 one bit. If I had one, I would sell it and get another 991 GT3.
I never understood this line of thinking. Im certainly not knocking you for it, but who gives a chyt on what other ppl think and their comments. I had a Gen V Viper ACR and absolutely never cared, tracked and drove hard on the streets. I def think PPF for this car should be mandatory.

I know what it is dude.

When a car goes back into a Porsche dealer inventory they have to re-issue the CPO and 2 years starts over. So why is yours 1.5

I was told that the the 2 years starts when the 4-year warranty ends, not when they take it back into inventory. My dealer did the CPO last year when the previous owner bought it, so I don't know if they're going to reissue the CPO. I'll verify that this is correct.

A lot of brake pressure. More than I've ever needed in any other car on street or track. Much more than I need with cold track pads on the street. Like "jeebus, why isn't thing slowing down!" I think the 991.2 3RS has the same PCCB as my 991.2 TTS, and the brakes in the TTS feel strong and sublime.

Yeah that sounds completely wrong. Nothing can touch the instant power of PCCBs, but it shouldn't be like that.

Congrats! Can I ask how many miles this one had?

13k miles.

Don’t congratulate me yet, need to resolve this brake issue in order for me to buy it. Pads aren’t a big deal, but if the rotors are toast, that’s an expensive fix.

Oh wow...you are right, PCCB's rotors = $$$$. Interesting to hear about the brake pressure issue...Hopefully it is something the Warranty/CPO can cover.

My concern is that rotors are a wear item, so unless defective, probably not covered by CPO/warranty. If the car was tracked without cool down laps or pads that were too thin, the carbon in the rotors can be oxidized pretty quickly. 13k miles with 9k miles of unknown tracking history raises questions about the rotors. I believe they’re about $30k to replace.

Yes it is appended to the factory 4 year warranty. They have to re-certify it though. 18 mo CPO is not a thing unless two private parties are selling to each other.
in which case you inherit the warranty from the seller.
doesn’t apply to you tho

Makes sense. I'll ask the dealer about this. SA mentioned 6 years from the in-service date, but then also mentioned re-certifying, so not consistent.
