I was curious because I haven't been following the price trends for these cars. Opportunity came unexpectedly to buy it, and I had to decide quickly. Judging from what I could find on cars.com, BAT, and CarGurus, seems like a pretty good price.
I don't want to spend time searching for a car at a 'great' price because time is money, and when a car arrives at my dealer which has a build I really like at a fair price, I think it's best to just pull the trigger and buy it. 3RS is kind of a bucket list car for me. Wife and I both love the color, non-WP hood, lack of side decal, somewhat understated interior. I don't normally like black wheels, but I think they work with this build. I recently got a GT3 allocation at MSRP, so I'm already around $50k ahead there, so I don't think I need to hammer the deal for lowest price on everything (and their prices generally aren't negotiable anyway since they're now an AutoNation dealer).

MB will be the color to have on the .2, if you don't count racing yellow.

I feel like the 991.2 GT3 RS will hold value because it's the best NA 991 GT3 car, the 991 is the last car with a more analog cockpit, and this RS is the last one with a frunk. What do you guys think?

The price trends between GT/RS cars all follow each other on the newer ones so its a bit hard to think a 991.2 3RS will be an outlier. If the 992 GT3 manuals drop then so will the 991.2 3RS values because most buyers will cross shop them. Same thing with 4RS values as another potential option. If those hold then the 991.2 3RS holds. Similar to how 991.1 3RS's are valued around what a 991.2 GT3 manual is.

Could drop ~10% value at some point? Sure. Considerably more than that? harder to see. There'd be countless buyers $150-200k, demand far exceeding supply.
+10-20% value or more over time, shifting into the $250-300k range? Own and use one as intended, not hard to imagine at all. Easier to armchair devalue .2 RS when it's not lighting your hair on fire.

Decent number of people I talk to, actually prefer the 991 aesthetically - esp vs the 992 rs which is a bit over the top, and no frunk is quite an issue in a caged car - I dont really see 991.2 tourings or RSs taking too much of a hit from here on out, maybe the winged gt3s could be softer given higher production/less special? gives another excuse to drive it more

I saw a 992 GT3RS in person yesterday. I personally would not drive that car in public roads simply because of how obnoxious it looks. 99% of the public will have the “boy racer, a bit too much” comment. I will go as far as to state that you would have to pay me money to be seen inside that car. Its the kind of car you just look at to appreciate the engineering but way too much for what most of us do with these cars. The wing looks disproportionately large. The front scoops dont really fit in to the overall design. The wheel arches that are exposed are just disaster waiting to happen. You drive this car in a highway and in 20-25 miles you will have sizeable chips on your door or rear bumper. PPF will protect the paint yes, but you as the owner will just stare at the PPF marks now. The chips still looks really poor be it on the paint vs ppf.
I think 991.2 RS is the best balance of analog, old school 911, race car, aggressive but understated and classy look. I dont like the 992 GT3 one bit. If I had one, I would sell it and get another 991 GT3.

Here they are together. 992 3RS looks over the top, but so does the 991 3RS. Neither car is modest. I think the 992 looks great in the flesh.
The 992 is about 1 sec per minute faster and has cool adjustability. Negatives for me are the lack of frunk, possibly heat into the cabin when windows are down, harsher ride on the road, more digital interior, larger size, and the substantially higher cost. But I probably wouldn’t refuse a 992 allocation at MSRP.
