I have both. 992 GT3 manual (my 2nd one), I've had the 991.2RS for 2+ years and now have a 991.1 RS. 992 GT3 feels a lot more refined and the .2RS just feels VISCERAL. Feels like it wants to destroy whatever pavement is in front of it, whereas the 992 GT3 is exceptional and I love it, but it is very much so refined.

Double wishbone suspension in the 992 is great and their performance suspension and handling wise are similar with a slight edge given to the 992 GT3, but I prefer the more aggressive downshifts, road feel and undeniable RS feeling of the 991.2RS. I also prefer to track the RS and am a stickler for more analogue instrument clusters, which is why I was drawn to getting a .1 3RS.

Good luck in your cross-shopping!! HELLUVA conundrum to be in jajaja

Funny you say this, I borrowed a friends 992 GT3 Manual to drive in the Malibu canyons to see what I wanted to spend my money on. The car felt too good, way too refined and "easy." Sure it's an amazing car and if you want to be the fastest in the canyons/track while having a car feel super confidence inspiring then that's the car to get. For me though, I want "raw" and want to feel like I'm having to do some work with the car/not feel super confidence inspiring even thought the car is. I also drove a friends 991.2 GT3RS which did feel more raw than the 992 GT3 manual but ultimately I bought a GT4RS which is probably the rawest Porsche that's been made for the past 6-10 years. The intake noise you get in the cabin is so insane that no video or sound clip does it justice and the "compromised" suspension/chassis the car has makes it feel so much more fun and not as confidence inspiring although if you look at Car & Drivers Lightning Lap it puts down the same lap times as the 992 GT3/991.2 3RS but definitely struggles on tracks with lots of uneven pavement.

Default 47k over the original MSRP with 17k miles

Tourings are still showing strong demand.

$42k over if you include the $5k in Cxx work not shown on the Monroney.

Default Boring CXX options

Do tell what the CXX options are? Looks pretty plain to me minus the PTS coloring.

My hunch is the 991.2 GT3 Touring will be the sought after one years from now.

17k miles which really is not a lot but some would say so. Also some minor paint work to the front bumper.

100%. Who was willing to spend $12k on PTS, but not a few $k to delete the hideous rubber std interior? Man...

This thing sat on monterey's floor for a long time, they were asking 200 I believe. Some people on BAT pay some pretty wild prices. A lot better options out there for the money...

The non-leather dash being important to many is mind blowing. Owned one with and one without…would put it very low on my personal list of preferred/required options.

I don't notice much difference if the dash is black, but I succumbed to peer pressure and got leather in the 992 GT3.
