Am I imagining things or are the 992 GT3 prices coming down into 991.2 territory?
Just going by what autotrader, cars dot com, and CarGurus are showing…..

Yup. Crooks. When I was selling my RS, local dealer contacted me about 5 times asking me to sell it to them. $220K sticker. They initially offered me $230K. When they called me back the next day asking if I was in, they said no no no we never offered you $230K. Our offer is MSRP @$220K. I told them to get lost. Sold the car myself for $260K. Also a few months prior, I stopped by that same dealer after a track day. Had a few melted rubber streaks on the rear fenders, which is normal for any track car. Wipes right off when you was the car, especially with PPF. Dealership manager comes running out with his phone asking to take photo of VIN and if I'm interested in selling. Before I can say anything, he sees the bits of rubber and goes, "Oh yeah we can't actually buy a car with this kind of damage." I wiped the rubber with my finger and it came right off. I said, "What... it's a track car, isn't it?" Freakin' Sonoma Raceway is right around the corner from this place. Anyway the manager gave me tons of attitude for some reason. I sent them a message with a screenshot of my bill of sale for $260K after all the crap they pulled.

More supply for one thing. There are nearly 2x base 992 GT3 on the market as compared to 991.2. (Despite the fact, I assume, many more total 991.2 produced than 992 at this stage.)

992 are listed in 991.2 RS territory, not so much equivalent spec base 991.2. Do see the price gap between equal low mileage and spec base 991.2 to 992 closing -- used to be 75-100k, now maybe 50-75k.

For 992 money, 991.2 RS is a more interesting buy and experience. You'd have to consider a GT4 RS in base 992 price range as well.

If concerned about value, mid to upper 200's on a 992 is probably not where I'd want to be. Strikes me as the most price vulnerable of the modern 4.0's.

Base 992 lands sub-991.2 RS over the mid to long-term, whether through 991.2 RS appreciation and/or base 992 drop. And the price gap between base 991.2 and 992 is still too much, imo. Wouldn't be surprised to see it halved again.

PDK 992 cars are coming into touring 991.2 car range of pricing. The former has a longer way to fall than the latter for sure.

In the long run - ie 5-10 years from now - I think 991.2 Touring values will be greater than 992 GT3 and very possibly 992 Touring.

I don’t disagree with you for many reasons. As they say only time will tell.

100% and more. I believe the 991.2 RS and Touring both will be highly sorted the next 10 years/as soon as Porsche released 911 EV.
