Was this a 992 Touring with 12k miles? I could understand people thinking that's a little high.
Yes. 12k miles. It was listed for $230k. The car was in excellent condition with PCCB, buckets, manual, yellow seat belts, Bose, etc. It was with Ferrari Houston.
I disagree on extending the auction or restarting it as it sold over the sellers reserve. Unfortunately there were site issues but that’s the risk you take putting it online.
the market is down off the insanity but still over msrp…. Owners should be happy unless they are still buying these cars for over $200k/ way over sticker
Can see both sides, including the winning bidder's perspective. But given the usual flurry of activity at the conclusion of the auction especially, seller was shortchanged. No, seller isn't signing onto inherent risk by putting it online/bat. Doubt that's a contractual understanding -- if your auction intermittently craps the bed, including right when things start turning in your favor, you're still obligated to sell.
Perspective that any seller over msrp should be happy with what they got, take your $ over msrp and shut up mentality, isn't relevant.
Would hope and assume this scenario is addressed in the bat auction contract, not sure why there'd be speculation on how they'll proceed.
yes, you’ve mentioned many times you don’t need the money. Good for you.
I don’t think that this car being one of five is very additive to asking price. Not a very desirable color to begin with which is why so few were ordered. Perhaps twenty years from now the notion that is one of five will add too collectability but the car is too modern for that to matter at the moment.
Hope that made you feel better. Keep going if it's not all out yet. I real good cry can be quite therapeutic....
I only got motivated after I was presented with a 992 GT3 allocation for sticker. It's been on AT for maybe a month. It's still winter and the buyer pool for a well optioned pristine 991.2 GT3 will be smaller than a more common lower optioned example. The right guy for this car will present himself, maybe today or maybe in a few months. I'm in no rush and I don't have to sell it anyway. The thought of my car getting stale on the market doesn't hold weight either as it's one of maybe five produced at most, and the only one currently on the market. I understand it'll take longer. It's not a Honda Accord after all.
If I had to I'd consider it. He seems to be a good guy and told him over the phone I'd take $230K for it. Which is why I dropped my price in the ad. For various reasons I personally like to buy from the owner and not a dealer anyway. There are like minded potential buyers out there.
and there's a big gap between someone has an offer vs someone ready to sign a check. Many things could go south when it comes to private sell a 200k+ car.

What do you guys think of the price? Is it too high mileage for a 991.1 gt3rs?
Was looking to buy a 991.2 GT3 but 991.1 GT3RS is basically the same price and 991.2 GT3 being over MSRP 5 years later doesn't feel reasonable. Mileage seems to be on the very upper band of what's out there for sale.
Just wonder how much I have to discount/depreciate the vehicle if I add 30k miles during my ownership over the next 3 years. Any crystal ball guesses? Just wondering if it'd be closer to 120k or closer to 170k. tyvm
(I'm so tired of the 991.1 platform btw, all my porsches have been 991.1 🤣; not looking forward to adding rear camera and carplay all over again, hopefully the tech has improved quite a bit, haha)

I would run, not walk, from this dealer/stealership…notorious for adding thousands of prop unmentioned fees, changing the prices mid way through the process, and on and on.
in terms of depreciation, the .1 GT3 RS are likely through a big chunk of their depreciation curve. So maybe it’s another 20-30k down from here until it finds a floor value.

Prices on the 991.1 3RS's have definitely come down but it's taking a while for sellers to become realistic. Last two cars on BaT show the current market:
White 4700 Mile .1 3RS ended at 182k
Lava Orange 13k mile .1 3RS ended at 176k
Pre covid both of those would have been 150kish cars but no one knows if it'll get back to that.
I agree. I called thinking it has 1200 miles. When I mentioned 1200, they said it had 12k miles. It was online for a couple of weeks as far I know but eBay listing that I was watching showed sold.
where else have you seen pts touring with 1200 miles listed at that price
