However, some of the additional commentary that seems to be ideologically or politically driven adds no value and diminishes everyone’s intelligence.

my calculation was based on: (price + delivery + BaT fee) vs (local cpo pts car - implied cpo value/peace of mind).. being able to physically touch and sit in a car prior to buying adds small value for me. If I was on the west coast I probably would have gone up another 3-4K.
both have similar builds.. I am in the process of buying the local one now and will report out when it’s complete.
i have a black ‘22 taycan turbo s, wife has a black ‘19 Panamera sport turismo e hybrid turbo s.. need a bright gt car to mix things up!

I really liked the birch green car. It looked fantastic and had all the right options for me.
The best news of the day is my title finally arrived for the 19RS I bought two weeks ago. Never been excited to stand in line at DMV to get a tag until now. Bad news it’s already in the shop for a Dundon header and muffler. Good news it’s going to sound ****ing fantastic when I finally get to drive it home for the first time!

I finally got through the credit union process for the white '18 GT3 I bought on BaT a month ago. With 3.74% financing, it was worth the month wait, especially in light of most recent Fed rate jump. Flew to LA last night, saw car for the first time this morning, transacted with seller at credit union, and then 6 hours up the Central Valley and back to the Bay Area. No citations, no incidents, only a sore butt from 6 hours in carbon buckets. Despite stock exhaust, the sound of stepping on it in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, with the windows open, is glorious.

What is your angle here except to spread fear and bad information and try to sound out a thesis held together by bubble gum between the impact on the economy from rural and urban Americans?
Are you finally hoping to buy a gt3 "on sale" since you have been saving up all these years in anticipation of a crash and now you finally might have that chance???

doesn’t have the looks or crazy rigid performance of the RS, but this is the most fun Porsche I’ve driven since the 993 imo. Was thinking I’d get rid of it after 18 months of DD track and proly get into a gt4rs….but this one appears to be a keeper.
It Will proly be worth 85k in 2 years with this economy,…I don’t care. Just like my old 3rs will be going for 50k under or less. Cars depreciate 99% of the time, it’s normal
cars are not investments.

hahaha I sold my custom ordered from new 991.2 gt3rs for 25 over a bit ago after 3 years and 7,300 miles of enjoyment. Needed a manual again and sofas. LWB and pdk I was just over, so just finally picked up my gt4 manual I ordered beginning of year a couple weeks back and honestly can’t believe how “fun” this platform is.

my wife had a 2020 e63 wagon.. as soon as MB said no more v8s, those popped. I ended up swapping that for a Panamera ST turbo s and sold the 23k mileage e63 for new msrp. At the same time, amg gtr’s jumped a bunch. I was in negotiations with a Houston area MB dealer that had 2 on the lot.. they sold both the day after the announcement was made. They were highly optioned low mileage cpo cars selling around 150k for reference. They are not nearly as iconic or beloved as the Porsche gt cars.

It’s kind of like pawn stars idea of if it’s collectible new, it’s not a collectible. Doug demuro has a similar ideology of the cars that really do well Long term are the ones that were not loved new. Big reason corvetttes haven’t done well, there’s so many produced and they’re all really nice kept, and that buyer always thinks they’re “collectible”.
there are just so many produced at this point and all being “collected” in a changing time of dying ICE engines.
I mean remember how easy it was to get a cgt or rs 4.0 after a couple years?
on top of that I just think this ice craze is dying and these polluters proly won’t be popular in due time and frowned upon. We are the last of an inevitable dying breed
