I like your WP RS as it’s a great spec but BaT is the best place to sell and you saw the outcome. No one wants to pay $40K over for an RS
i sold mine today for $265k..... if i want to let it go.

Like i said, that week at BAT was not a good week to sell a WP car since there were 2, and the new RS was released.

Confirmed sales from one guy who almost bought my car but bought a white one from a dealer in Utah with green seats and trim for $267(lower MSRP than mine....and 7000 miles), and another silver with steels from Maserati dealership in Florida was just mentioned on this thread a few posts up.

Replacing GT3 Touring with McLaren Artura. I am ready for something new and always wanted a British sportscar. Had over 6 years with Porsche GT cars (4 years in GT4 and almost 2 year with GT3T).

I just paid 37k over msrp for a .2 WP. Did I overpay? Probably, but am I going to wait around to save 10k? No chance. For the guys who are worried about trying to time the entry or exit of the 911 market, you are welcome for my overpayment so you have a new data point to make yourself feel better about your decision.

Default Looking for 991.1 GT3 in Guards Red

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a 991.1 GT3 in Guards red ideally with LWB. I’ve had my ideal spec car unfortunately sold it and been looking for another one since then. It was in Guards Red with LWB, front axle lift, red stitching, carbon trim and clear taillights. My goal is to get as close as possible to the same spec without having to do many swaps.

Thank You in advance !

If you have a specific spec requirement that is not common then sure you limit the pool of cars and you should pounce when one comes up. Uncommon spec, PTS both drive a premium so I wouldn't say you over paid. My prior comment was regard to the majority of the cars that are similarly spec'd. As I said earlier you got a beautiful car and enjoy in good health.

My post wasn’t pointed to you or anyone specially. It was meant to be generalized. Apologies if it sounded like it was.

My main thought was that no matter what we are purchasing depreciating assets. Maybe someone gets lucky and it’s not but the mindset should be these cars will fall and be prepared and not shocked when they do. The challenge in todays market is how much of a fall is someone willing to risk.

I think .2RS are going to be a favorite for enthusiast for a long time. Analog dash, moderate aero, and the same engine as a 992. For an old school petrol head it is the end of an era. Who knows what pricing will do but this car won’t be replicated.

Yeah, when 992 RS's are trading in the 400-500k range let's come back to .2 RS's in the mid-2's

Good luck, we will welcome you back with open arms. McLaren has been the biggest disappointment of any cars I've ever owned.

This is my car that I sold to the dealer a few weeks ago. No LWBs. Car is super clean. Happy to broker a deal if you’re interested

Same here. Had a 570s. Constant errors on the dash every time I started the car. Had a coolant tank rupture after driving through the canyons. Luckily happened as I was pulling into the garage. The last straw for me was when the seats failed to recline properly. There's a setting that automatically reclines when you get out of the car and moves forward once you're in it. One day after sitting down the seat started to move forward and the back went too far forward and got stuck. So it ended up being completely upright. Called Ogara and they wanted to charge me $250 to fix it. Went in to fix it and the service guy took the car in, brought over his laptop, plugged it into the car, ran a reset sequence on the seat and done. Took no more than 3 minutes total....and they couldn't just do that for me for free. Told myself, F this. There were also exterior body panels that are literally double sided taped down. Ridiculous. List of issues I had with the car...
  • Horn faults ALL the time
  • Turn signal faults ALL the time
  • Coolant tank rupture
  • Seat wouldn't recline
  • Car wouldn't start sometimes unless I literally stood on top of the brake pedals - happened a lot
  • Car wouldn't start unless the key was in some magical unknown spot in the car - happened ALL THE TIME
  • Door wouldn't latch when trying to close
  • Rear backup camera wouldn't work after a spirited drive
On top of that, the infotainment system looks like something that came out of the 80s.
