Call me stupid if you want, but I would not drop $200k on a car like this without seeing a DME report.
Since the info IS available, I would like to see it.
There was another purple car recently on PCarMarket (currently in their deal tank, out of Canada i believe ) that was also pending a DME report and which tampered the amount of bidding.

Had been trying to get them to do it and they don’t care because it’s a sellers market. Really close to my perfect spec, but at $32k over original MSRP already (and with no warranty left), I know it’s a bad financial decision to buy.

Not necessarily as the fun and pleasure you would get are priceless, but perhaps more of a GAMBLE when you consider no DME report, no warranty, etc.
Other cars like this one will pop up in the short / mid term.

Yeah, $30k over is rough, but that seems to be the current state. I tried to wait it out but ended up buying one at exactly that amount over and added a PFS warranty. Carmine Red. They did run a DME, answer my many questions, and paint meter the car. Can’t wait until it arrives.

Congratulations!! A beauty!!
Prices aside (it is what it is), one should still demand a quality product and service. And for me, a DME report, all documentations, answer all my questions, etc. are all simply a MUST.
im surprised the blue one had such a high reserve. I mentioned i approved of the high price when it was at $255k and that i had a silver WP similar spec and mag wheels and only 2000 miles vs 10k, and someone asked me to list it for sale. I thought the market was dropping on 991.2's....guess not.

May be, maybe not because the car didn’t sell in the end. Sellers can put whatever (un)reasonable reserve in place, but only a car that sells is a data point.

Someone posted in the FB RS owners group that they sold their white 3k mi WP mag wheel car this week for $285k
Saw that FB posting. Clean, mint, low mileage WP 991.2 3RS cars, PPF wrapped and especially if CPOd through 2025 will likely command a premium between $260k and $280k. The mag wheels will push cars on the higher end of that like the one mentioned.

I have seen this car. It is really clean. Owned by an enthusiast that traded for a Ferrari. It is in Redmond right now, and Chris’s German could likely connect with them and pull the DME if you want. Or Cantrell. Car still had the protective film on the PCM when I saw it. No sign of track use.

Unfortunately doesn't mean it hasn't had missed shifts though. I wouldn't be messing with a $200k out of warranty car without that DME report either. Especially if a dealer is intentionally avoiding providing it they could be hiding something big and that's why it's on BaT. It was for sale regularly for awhile first and didn't sell. That's a red flag they could easily clear up but aren't.

forgive my ignorance but are you guys saying it's not posted because the seller simply wrote it out in the comments rather than showing a photo of the actual report?
