Don't know how fast prices are gonna fall but barring other supply chain disruptions I don't think prices are gonna trend higher from here.

Oddly enough I'm seeing some of that in the used exotic market with other brands too. The prices aren't running up quickly but I'm seeing McLarens and Ferraris for sale getting bought and put right back up for sale by another dealership for more money. The funny thing is that in some of these cases the car sat for months at the lower price, sometimes in a high dollar market like South Florida or the Bay Area. Seems like some of these indie dealers are gonna get burnt trying to buy a car from Palm Springs to tack on $20k and sell it in the middle of Ohio.
Dealers are desperate for cars, my Range Rover dealer sent me a text and made me a offer on my Mclaren 675LT. I said I’m not selling but make me an offer, and he called back and said 230k ……..I said ummm Mclaren will buy it now for 260k and flip. The dealer sent me a text, and all you had to do was put in your VIN and it would shoot you a buy estimate nice way to fish. So I started playing with it, and I put in my Speedster and the 675 for fun and nothing came back couldn’t find the cars. So the next day I get a call from the dealer because they had my number from the Range Rover, and it’s 3 years old and they offered 6k less than what I paid which is amazing for that high depreciation car. I mentioned on previous post awful time to buy, and a great time to sell just don’t get screwed on the sale ……my bet is they had a buyer for my 675 and wanted to low ball me.

Dealers have no cars on lots in many cases which means not much revenue coming in the door minus new car orders, and salesmen are doing cold calls too funny. Mercedes called my last week for the GLCAMG 63 to buy and order a new one …….ha yes hits my door in 8 months no I pass. Remember the tide turns and Porsche will want to sell you those Macan’s and Cayenne’s just say no, and the only leverage you have those are the money makers volume.

If you have cars saved on your Autotrader/car gurus/cars.com app watchlist it always funny to see cars sell then pop back up with photos coming soon and a 20k increase in price even though the previous dealer couldn’t sell it to the general public at the before price. I’ve seen more RS’s switch dealers in the last 8 months😆 somebody is correct though the market is getting tighter and prices have gone up. Good spec low miles GT3/RS’s don’t last long especially if priced correct. The only small correction i can see is 992 GT3 owners selling for the RS. Even then we are 8 months out.

991 RS’s have become art pieces for low inventory Porsche showrooms. They are trading like NFT’s

Local dealer here bought a private sale GT3 in LA, then relisted it for $20k more than the private list price, plus now you have to pay state tax (another ~9%) on top of that (private sales in AZ pay no sales tax), so close to another $40k from a car that didn't sell. It's complete madness out there.

I think this is pretty much right. Buddy sold a 718 Spyder to a dealer in trade on a Speedster. They priced the Spyder way high and said they knew it would sit for a while but they wanted it in the showroom.

I keep seeing this too. Dealers buy a car, then another dealer snags it and adds $20k, then a month later another dealer snags it and does the same thing. It’s insane.

I’ve been loosely following the market for the last few months as I’m ready to buy as soon as I find the right car. I’ve also noticed prices on a lot of the GT3’s have been creeping back down over the last few weeks. I was initially searching nationwide, but after actually checking out a few low mileage examples in person, about half of the cars I’ve looked at have been in pretty poor condition. I’m at the point now that I’m limiting my search to SoCal.

I think we’re getting to the point where many of these dealers that keep flipping cars to other dealers are going to end up getting stuck holding the bag. Some of these cars are sitting for a very long time, while the dealers and sellers that offer more aggressive pricing move the cars quickly.

^^^ 991.1 RS inventory is pretty scarce with available being mostly the dealer flip/markup routine ongoing. I am hoping patience is a virtue here but starting to wonder

If you’re looking for a car I’d be looking at this:

https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/2...%20blast%20car

no affiliation but that’s a nice spec. I’m a manual guy so to keep its perfect.

I was doing the same on the 991.1 RS - I caved and went with one as I made the mistake of looking at the production numbers and realizing it really is not crazy to look at the price of those cars vs. their MSRP and the age of them now (6 years old in most cases). Went with a spec I wanted, neutral color/steel brakes/axle lift, under 7500mi. Looking forward to it as I have always wanted this gen RS and never owned or driven one.

You'll love it. .1 RS is a great car. Put 3K of track miles on mine and a total of 7K miles before I sold it to buy a race car!

RNM. Buy it now price of 230k. The dealer had it listed for $250 prior to putting it up on PCAR if memory serves

He moved it down to $237k a while back and it sat.
