FYI I am subscribed to the Boost Brothers Garage channel but the YT algo is suppressing your content for some reason. Alerts were set to "Personalized" and I hadn't seen either of the last two videos, both of which were of great interest. I watch time attack related videos nearly every day, and the time attack 240sx only has 700 views in 2 weeks... I am subscribed and it didn't get recommended, seems fishy to me.

I can't remember if it is already in one of the videos or somewhere in the thread and I'm just not remembering, but has any of the cars that have been swapped been weighed yet?
I would be curious to know the change in weight balance compared to stock for both NA and turbo 07k swapped cars.

100lbs on a 3000lb car is ~3%. 07K probably on par or a hair lighter than a 951 full engine assembly, but less front overhang.
So what, lose 1% off the front?

I completely agree. Its really more of a curiosity thing than anything else since that always seems to come up when discussing swaps in these cars.
The purists are always griping that you ruined the perfect 50/50 for any swap.
I would imagine the difference is negligible, though.

Parts list
Anyone have a complete parts list for the 07k turbo swap? Just curious about different setups, especially for things involving radiators, oil coolers and intercoolers as well as their packaging.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Here's the 83 944 that I picked up about 10 days ago: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ALaNzGVrHHQzgxoU9
It was an abandoned (failed?) EV conversion, so lots of stuff already removed (including the fuel system unfortunately). I hadn't even heard of the 07K swap until I started looking at engine options. Now I've read this entire thread, and am in the planning stages of my NA 07K swap.

I'm not calling almost $1,400 "cheap," but not bad for a brand new forged crankshaft

Willing to pay the price for them, so not looking for any massive discounts or anything. If anyone knows of any for sale please let me know.

Places like ECS tuning often don't have Genuine parts in stock---they drop-ship them via their dealer of choice. Even with aftermarket stuff, Pelican Parts, et al drop-ship from a couple of the warehouse suppliers that deliver to my shop.

Have you tried your local Audi dealer? I am willing to bet that TTRS cranks are available in Germany at worst, possibly a few in a US warehouse.

I would suspect the crank is not actually NLA but is a restricted part. Manufacturers have often started placing restrictions on major non-consumable drivetrain parts of performance cars, and in order to obtain them you may need a VIN and proof of needing that part. Some dealers will be more open about it than others.
I think the last of the first-gen TTRS is still new enough that Audi is legally required to carry parts for the car.
Many dealer parts divisions don't want to deal with non-industry professionals actually requesting parts other than wipers and filters. Try to find a dealer that can actually give you a straight answer on the status of the part. If still no luck, contact Audi Motorsport. You could also try Iroz or 034 Motorsport, they are tuners that might know how to get one.
