This. ECS's catalog is essentially reading off of a semi-public VAG parts catalog. It's worth noting that these published catalogs are not the latest revision.
I would suspect the crank is not actually NLA but is a restricted part. Manufacturers have often started placing restrictions on major non-consumable drivetrain parts of performance cars, and in order to obtain them you may need a VIN and proof of needing that part. Some dealers will be more open about it than others.
I think the last of the first-gen TTRS is still new enough that Audi is legally required to carry parts for the car.
Many dealer parts divisions don't want to deal with non-industry professionals actually requesting parts other than wipers and filters. Try to find a dealer that can actually give you a straight answer on the status of the part. If still no luck, contact Audi Motorsport. You could also try Iroz or 034 Motorsport, they are tuners that might know how to get one.

I was just thinking about the 01e adapter kit that projectnine was supposedly working on. Went to look at his site since I have it saved and the url isnt valid, his other site widerstandsafig is up but no details on there.
Did he go out of business or just consolidate websites? Checking to see if anyone knows.

Not sure if ECS Tuning has a source for them.

Thanks, unfortunately those newer DAZA RS3 crankshafts don't fit the earlier 07k engine that this swap is based around. Needs to be the first gen TTRS crankshaft PN 07K105101P to fit these 07k swaps. ECS sources all theirs from Audi who doesn't have any in stock and doesn't know when more will be manufactured . Didn't think they'd be this hard to come by.
Edit: looks like the front main bearing size is different? My mistake, I thought they were all interchangeable. I hope the early cranks don't become NLA.

For anyone interested in an electric A/C compressor option and idle air control for the VR6 throttle body(primarily for non PE users), see my thread here.

Has anyone tried getting either of the drive belts recently? It seems that I am unable to find any US sellers, compared to them being readily available on amazon and other parts websites when I initially ordered during the summer.
Also, I had planned on posting a "review" of sorts on the turbo 07K swap including videos, but won't be able to until I swap a new motor in. I managed to throw a belt about 20 minutes from home and decided cooking my engine was preferable to waiting in sub freezing temperatures at 10pm for a flatbed. I had decided to try using the lightweight pulley from ECS and take off my TTRS pulley... A word of advice, don't.

There's a guy in the UK with one. Green car is all I can remember. Not sure if he is on Rennlist. Have seen him on one or more of the FB boards.
I think his name is James. Maybe Howitson or Hewson or something like that as a surname.

Am I right in thinking this is the QuickTime bell housing Alan designed?

I believe that car is a standard AAN (the old school Audi I5) if it's the car I'm thinking of.
