I'd find another shroud that stands off the back of the radiator at least a few inches to give air exiting the radiator somewhat of a straight shot.
the shroud has 19mm from the core, my meaning was to show how big an 16" tall radiator is.

I think what I'll be doing is just modifying the original lines, since the condenser and dryer connections are up front anyways. Those run around the driver's side, no problems there.
The compressor I linked before draws 57 amps, I'm assuming at peak load. I read it's an average 9-12 amps at sustainment. I also like loud music, (classic college student, I know) so I'll be upgrading my alternator anyways. Couple HP sacrifice so I can be comfortable is worth it. All the more reason to install a different kind of compressor (;

Sounds like a good plan as well. For a college student.

I've been obsessively checking this forum for the past year, join the club 🤣 Can't say I know anything regarding a time frame though. Been hearing whispers around other forms of social media, but I won't speak for the guys in charge

We hit the deadline to get the car to PE, but they need a week or two to button it up and get it on the dyno. Here’s the video!

Car made it to PE today. If all goes to plan it will be on the dyno next week. Any bets on results?

where are we coming in so far with a running total for swap parts? $?
ive got a 944 engine apart for a rebuild but the block needs oversizing...that plus std rebuild costs is going to be multi-thousand dollars.

how far off would i be...

...with that intake and the sweet! headers id say your estimate is reasonable.

My all in swap is still on track for $8k, including ECU, harness, engine, swap parts etc etc

If you got creative and used the OEM header and your existing exhaust etc you could potentially get it done for $7k.

Ha, I think that’s a bit healthy but I sure wouldn’t be upset about it!

Well, if you think about it... base HP is 170, + Alans Intake (Which is awesome and optimized by racing people) Im guessing.... 45-50 hp, plus the tune improvements; I'd like to see PE squeeze out an additional 20-25 horsies just from VVT, fuel flow, and overall more powerful- yet still efficient map than VW produced... In addition, the short exhaust with minimal resistance should allow it to flow better.
The race number stickers should add about 5hp too ;D

Shoot. I'll play devils advocate. I'm guessing 185 rwhp/170 ft-lbs. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong here, but just in case something goes terribly wrong I may be the closest.

Well actually, in the event they decide to play it safe and shoot for "as close to stock as possible", limit fuel, spark & air at peak power rpm, 185 could be fairly close. It all really depends on how PE tunes it.
