Default Starting my bbg 07k swap

Im just getting into the bbg swap for my NA 83, purchasing and installing parts where I can.
Ive have a hard time finding part # CHK101-2 adapter or something that will work for the slave cylinder

I'm basically copy bbg swap and have ordered everything from there pdf so any advice or past experiences doing this swap would be super helpful

Ha, it’s a tough one! For future reference guys can search for “LS Slave Adapter” on eBay. Must be the double o-ring version!

Default Harmonic balancer

The bolts on the harmonic balancer aren't reverse threaded right and can someone send a parts number for the best socket I believe they are called cheese head sockets

The bolts are standard thread. I just went to the store and bought a bunch of of them because you need a few different sizes as you go. Just remember to stay metric with everything.

Also for those of you using a spa turbo header, before you put your header on make sure your primaries line up with your gaskets. I might have just gotten a bad one but I had to spend about 3 hours porting them with a dremel to fit the headgasket. My ports were litterally oval and some were up to a 1/4 inch out! It was completely unacceptable! Luckily the header is thick so I could remove a lot of material without impacting the structural integrity. I did manage to get them fitting nicely. If any of you are having flow problems on the high end or haven't put the header on yet, I recommend you take a look because the quality on mine was horrible. For those of you on a budget like me, the brazil distributor has them in stock and they only cost 140 usd vs 500usd from the american distributor.

I’m thinking about a project where I would need to match an 07K engine with an R series Toyota transmission. There are a number of adapters in the market place to match up some of the 4 cylinder Volkswagen TDI engines with this transmission. Would such an adapter save me some trouble in reaching my goal?

I am wondering if I could use this engine in a Toyota 4 x 4 pick up truck. The torque curve looks great for off road purposes, and with a small turbo it would be great on the road in Colorado where power loss due to altitude is an issue.

there are 10 belt manufacturers that all use the same part number interchanges - if you google those part numbers without the "P" (just K050420) youll find lots of results from Gates/Conti/Dayco/etc
