The Euro S Kermit is an amazing car! Sure if it drives by it turns heads!

Went and looked at this one earlier in week. Likely only a handful (or less?) of yellow S4's built, believe it or not summer yellow was was a factory color in '87. Never seen one (and I have been looking for yellow cars for a LOOONG time). Mileage appears to be correct, runs and drives out well. Likely sat for a while as tires new but '06 date codes. Will need full refresh (Fuel lines, TB/WP, etc.). Also looks to have been in a front end accident early in it's life and repaint looks to be a shade off (Brighter than the pale 10w Summer yellow) and some other panels painted as well (roof, quarter, maybe to blend?). If i didn't have a few project already in works I would have jumped to have a very rare S4 (repaint and mechanical refurbishment).

Related, but not, there's a fellow north of me with a 12 car garage. Each bay has a different color Ferrari Testa Rosa. Buy that one above and you can start your own collection.

Wow Alex that yellow S4 is sweet! I’ll bet the odometer gear is broken though, as the trip is set at 000.

A very rare color for a 928 indeed. Nice!
Never seen one in yellow like this.
One of one?
You should add this one to your great collection Alex...

Of course we "rare color" people all like these unusual colors. 5 cans on Rennbow (rarest of the rare). I like it but needs a lot of maintenance for the price.

I love rare colors but IMHO I don’t think the 928 looks good in YELLOW. To say Alex does not have one is even more rare!!

Oh but he does - a 78 Talbot Yellow. Needs a resto, but he's got one.

I know it’s a car for sale thread but this might be of use to someone. I had a saved search on eBay for 928 intermediate plates that I created a few years ago when I was rebuilding #328’s entire clutch assembly and this listing just popped up. It looks like it’s the later pin-centered style and not the earlier concentric fit.

Too bad it needs a full re-paint, that color is awesome. Hood was replaced so whatever happened to the front end it was a good one.

Default 79 Pasha in NJ on Ebay

Anyone know this car? My 89 S4 is my daily driver, which I'd have to sell if I acquired this one. I welcome your input just based on the ad as well. I've had my S4 for 2 years and prior to that I had a 81 5spd for two years - those are my only reference points.

79 Pasha in NJ

Thanks, Tom

At first blush it looks nice, but there is a lot going on with it, and I don’t think I trust the description much at all. One big red flag is the stated mileage is 114k but the odo shows just over 14k. Clearly it’s a high mileage car, and maybe higher than the 114 stated. It has a bad dash cap - badly warped. The paint doesn’t appear to match well between fenders and doors. It’s an automatic which with these early cars is a 3 speed. Not real desirable or aggressive. It has the 15” phone dials. Not the more desirable 16”. After market ugly steering wheel, torn pasha rear seats.

what condition is your current car in? This could be a big step down.
