Just trying to move through one piece at a time now that this almost infamous '80 cured it's non-start all by itself over 3 years time. Took the air box and sensor off, gave it all a good cleaning and preservation. Something was carrying heavy loads through the tubes to stash in there. Also found some mummified rodent remains underneath! Nice! I have a feeling that crap in the intake is from me vacuuming and such. Not sure where it would have came from otherwise with a stock filter in there. Not so sure about the liquid though. Had to have been in there for a long time.

No, that was 6 and 8 with the previous fuel distributor. They looks worse in the photo than they actually are in person. Insulators are brown in person and the car is now running on all 8 instead of on 6. I was also foiling 6 and 8 within about 25 miles before and these have a couple hundred on them.

Going to drive it a few hundred more and check them again.

Unhappy 928 stuck hood latch

I just bought my 89 928 and in an attempt to open the hood by pulling on the under dash lever, I can't get the latch to release. I tried pulling on the cable but only get about an inch of travel. Not being totally familiar with its workings, is there an option to opening the hood? As a result, I can't inspect or work on the engine. Obviously there is no way to access the latch from above or the grille front. Is there any way to release the latch from underneath? I have used the search engine and get "no results"

Default Stuck hood latch & corroded lug nut locks

2. I can't remove my wheels as the previous owner had corroded wheel locks requiring a missing key. Anyone had this happen and been able to remove the locking lug nuts? I can't drive the car with the chance of getting a flat and not being able to remove the wheel!
