Taking an "antifreeze" shower, the most hated job on this car. The last time doing it the "Porsche-way". Fumoto valves going in, should be a breeze next time. No wonder I've been dragging my heels for 15 years.

I guess this is a more of a "what did you do WITH your 928" statement.
So 928 DesMoines - are you in IA or MD? I am on the Mason-Dixon line, in Baltimore area often.

Sat in the car, turned on the ignition, thinking I would take it on a local dine and drive, listened to the bearings growl getting louder, turned it back off and took my truck, weeping silently.

Scoper,

Do you ever go to Cars and Coffee at Hunt Valley?

I visit my cars in Baltimore once a year. I will be back there in May to check on the regasket job a shop is doing for me.

Installed LED fog and driver's bulbs. Saw more evidence that this 78 was originally hellblau. Tried to change Tanny lube but plugs wouldn't budge and the fill is looking iffy so will take it somewhere to have done!

Friend stopped by with an impact wrench. With it we got the axle nut off so removed PS side axle, removed the 2 CV bolts in it that wouldn't budge, and removed diff fill and drain plugs from rear trans cover, that were also seized. Diff fluid drained, only to find the front plug for trans portion of box, so it is draining now.
