It was not pretty. This car hasn't looked as good as Ed's since 1980. I was walking away but we came to terms. 1979 Euro marked OB. Couldn't verify
M28/01 or VIN ZZZ. It has been a parts car for a loong time. I think the value is in lights and wheels. Hopefully it will allow me to enhance my car 1 part at a time while keeping mine on the road. Powder coating intake, dash rehab.....stuff like that.

That looks like the primer we used on tomahawks.

Decided to finally try out the Race Ramps (RR-XT-2 67-inch long by 10-inch tall XT 2-piece for the fronts along with the RR-WC-10 10-inch tall wheel cribs for the rears) that I got back in February.
It's nice to finally have ramps that I can drive right onto (used to have to jack up the car and then put my old short ramps under the front wheels).
Discovered that I don't have enough lift with my OTC 5202 jack (plus two hockey pucks) under the rear cross member to get the rears high enough to get the rear wheel cribs underneath the tires. Will try again tomorrow after I find a larger suitable and safe block to use instead of the hockey pucks.
Remember to chock the fronts before jacking up the rear!
Jack at full height (with two hockey pucks adding an additional two inches), but still not high enough to get the 10-inch wheel cribs under the tire (check out the right rear tire and the wheel crib sitting next to it; needs another inch or two).

Thanks Gunar, you have just saved me a lot of time.
Hood terribly keyed many years and multiple PO's ago. It is down to the primer in most cases.

Replaced that hose that goes from the center T of the intake to a t-piece. Mine was short and ran the connecting hoses across the middle of the intake because of that. Made the engine look stupid.
Getting the clamp loosened to get the T off was a pain. Getting the T back on was more of a pain. Ended up taking the boot off the throttle body, attaching it to T then lowering the whole unit onto the throttle body. Had enough room to get a socket wrench on the clamps and very very very slowly tighten them. I positioned the clamps so I can get to them easier if I need to remove it again.
I really need to powder coat my intake. Every time the pieces rubbed against each other, flakes would fall into the throttle body and I'd have to shop vac it out.

Replaced the HCV with an all-metal one.
Replaced the disintegrating alternator air hose. While I was in there, found and replaced a bunch of missing hardware that was supposed to hold the spoiler in place. Also replaced some of the disintegrated foam at the edge of the splash guard.
Properly reinstalled the undertrays (the rear one was in the trunk when I got the car).
