What did you do to your 924/944 today

today I went for emissions...did have a small electrical "glitch"...but when the cockpit cleared of smoke....and I convinced the guy to test her anyway....passed...but I did 02 sensor and cat a few days ago so I hadnt much doubt. My old cat was ****ting into my tailpipe which is the wrong kind of flash for my style LOL.
Foolishly, I allowed this to make me feel okay about a near electrical fire...
AFTER ALL she PASSED her emissions, is running better then ever, and this electrical glitch just ADDED a feature...its almost like shes just breaking back in...right?
Yeah....right....
Fortunately, My car lives in the same room I work in. SO I was sitting at my desk doing some modeling and I glanced up and thought there was paint dust all over the windshield...whiting it out....
Thats when I realized I hadnt sanded on her since I got back...that wasnt dust...it was SMOKE!
I normally dont leave the battery attached to a car thats not active..and shes been sitting for 2 weeks shedding paint as I get time and motivation....but this morning I ran an errand....and didnt disconnect...I was in a rush and forgot.....
So I ran over, opened the door, popped the hood, pulled the battery cables, threw open the rollup door and hit the bay's fans to get the smoke out....
then I spent a few minutes dancing back and forth with a fire extinguisher trying to decide what to do.....with the battery disconnected the smoke was clearing not growing so I just watched cautiously for a few minutes.
Now Ive pulled my drivers seat, snaked my fingers through the dash checking all the points of contact between this "harness leg" and the others, I got lucky it seems that the only damage is to the harness section that runs to the relays I found hiding out behind the glovebox (a/c?) and the responsible section of the P/O's "wiring solution".
Im just really glad she didnt burn.....I didnt realize how much time and effort Id had invested....until I stood there hoping smoke didnt turn to fire.

I'm still at it. Took the car to get the alignment done. I had suspension work completed, so this was needed.
Car was actually pretty balanced! Too much front camber and not enough rear camber, but not enough to be alarming. Somthing to think about for now. I only had the toe aligned. I left the camber alone until I do some research.
