Took out the Standard Black Leather Seats
Steam cleaned the carpets. 24 years of dirt under there. Interior doesn't smell old anymore.
Installed newly upholstered Black Leather 4 way power Sport Seats. Didn't realize how nice SS's are until I drove around in them for a while.

Finaly got the oil cooler housing off of the block, I am very certain that was the cause of my milkshake.
I figure it has never been removed every O ring was completly crushed.

Received my Arnnworx tools the other day...so, I removed the starter (and broke the black ceramic area since the battery cables were corroded on solid), got a rebuilt Bosch for a great price, installed the flywheel lock, removed all belts and covers, removed the old waterpump. The weephole must have been dripping as corrosion was there under the impeller pulley.
I PB blasted all nuts/bolts and let it sit a few ticks. Removed waterpump easily...NO BROKEN STUDS!!!
No gasket was stuck to the engine, cleaned the area and reinstalled the pump, and belts, tensioned with tensioner/twist, and b-belt by feel. I felt the tension prior to removal, felt as good. Tensioner inspected too, working within normal parameters I feel. (car only has 150,000 kms or 80,000 miles)
My first try at this job on a 944...not as bad as I feared. It was sure easier WITHOUT the rad in the way I must say. The flywheel lock gave me comfort too.
Enough for tonight!

[Saturday/Sunday] Drove the living cr@p out of it. Pushed everything as far as I could. Flat out. Redline lap after lap, hard braking, locking up, smoking the tires, g-forces breaking loose the NT-01s. Tires going from 28 lbs cold to 40 lbs hot after 25 minutes. Gravel, dirt, rubber chunks banging and sticking. Three 30 minute sessions, two days. This is not an heirloom. This is not a collector's item. This is a track beater.
Then as the sun sets the second day, and almost everyone is gone, pull in the paddock, and while the brake rotors are still smoking, put the spare tire back in, load in the tools, and drive 80 miles home. In the driveway, under the cover, and wait 'til next weekend to wash things up and assess the damage.

Been cleaning up some of the grounds and connectors (easy stuff first)
I just added to the cleanup process though. I picked up a set of 16" cup wheels from a 964. Now I need to determine what spacers/adapters I may need. They are in good shape, with minor curb rash, that I think I can fix up. Oh and they came with some nice potenza's in the correct size I am already using, so I may use these tires first before I swap on my brand new set.
Darn "while I'm at it" syndrome is getting to me again.

last night I pulled into the garage and popped the hood to do a quick visual...everything was still there LOL....then I went to close the hood and after completing all the required rituals.....the odd dance that USUALLY results in a latched hood.....nothing
Well seems the cargods have changed their demands and my offering was no longer valid.
looking into the receiver end of the latch made it clear something was wrong....the engagement tab was not visible at all despite the hood cable being in "latched" position. I wiggled squeezed and cursed a bit and got it back in place...shut the hood....smiled....turn....TWANK!!...turn around and its up again....sure enough the engagement tab was out of position again....
so this morning I drilled the rivets....should have taken pics but I was planning on just ordering in a new one so I hadnt thought this was going to be a repair....but once I had the latch receiver loose....it was an easy fix...there were 3 metal tabs bent out of position, allowing the backplate to separate from the rest of the latch. Bent them back tight, then tapped and tweaked everything back into a reasonable alignment.
4 lock washers, 4 nuts, 4 bolts....all of which were layarounds...cant be beat...this might be the cheapest repair ive had so far. So if your finding yourself "sitting down" to close your hood....drill those rivets and tighten things up before you order a replacement. Im glad I stopped the order in time...$56 saved...now what to spend it on

Came home from work, parked my motorcycle next to it and patted her on the *** as I walked by her into the house to let Winston out to pee.
I think I may have to take the winter's dust off her and remove the cover soon!

Just completed a rear bumper mod...
Removed the shocks, fab'd up some brackets and now the bumper sits 2" closer and still has the stock look. I like it!
