Burning Brakes

Replaced the torn ball joint boots on my controls arms, spent way too long removing the old paper gasket from my water pump because the shop that the PO brought the car to covered it in green sealant.

I had a minor miscalculation of car repair help offer, turn into a plan that it implied or included swapping of my 944... "she" who has never sat in my p-car.. took a late night driveway possession while I took her wheels for a shade tree early AM repair which I foolishly thought included my return delivery back, before she is even up & about...my bad!
Was it the wincing, the body language read, or??? Picture your face then as her plan unfolds.... as "she" states.... "Cute car and it'll be fun, show me how the seat moves and where the key goes, and I will be over early say 10:00am....."
I drive away looking at son's (he's at college) AKA a back up SUV... & pray for an overnight parked DME relay failure ...If I was thinking I would have left on the interior dome light!!!![EEK!](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
Doesn't she show up with said B/U SUV, about 1 hour late of early next day... great WTH happened now??? So my extra hour of worry was greeted with.... "I went out, sat in the car, got scared not driven a manual stick in so long.......well hope you don't mind, but you will have to swap me back later...."
phew, that was close... After all I am replacing right side of front bumper back in its brackets, R&R its head light bracket & buffing off the yellow scaring of those darned ATM surrounding cement posts....
Oh once home the P car got a nice sponge bath & dry.
"I will never leave my wingman again!".

Finally got around (after 4 years) to fixing the 944 idle shudder (Thanks to Fr Wilk's 944 website!). Took me 5 minutes, and car runs like a charm. somewhat anticlimatic.
Also cleaned the front and rear glass - long overdue.

Charged my AC, it took a full can and lasted all season last year, this car it took 3/4 can, hope it continues to last all season, cause Florida SUX without AC
I fixed my dangling dome light, it now rests where it is supposed to.
Temporarily fixed my blower control arm, the plastic screw holder snapped, i have duct tape and a zip tie holding it in place until i get the proper plastic piece.
I also broke my drivers side mirror glass, tried to fix it, made it worse then broke it again..
oh, and Elliot fixed my shift linkage play, i need a new shift lever to make it perfect, but its a lot less sloppy then before now!

I thought i would share some recently painted items(same color as my car) i did the side skirts rear valance and interior stuff. also fully completed and got them all working properly are the white 924 gauges out of a 79 924 parts car. got rid of the titty plastic covers and kept them as a flat look. and got the oil pressure and volt gauge to work properly now. so im very happy with my outcome. also last night i finally put a rear sway bar on my car since it didnt have one from factory i guess since the bolts for the linkages where totally different. but im happy now for that too.

Since my last track day in October:
1. Redline Roll bar
2. Fiberglass bumpers
3. Motor mount
Then over the past few weeks, the track prep -- harnesses in, HT-10 brake pads on, floor mats and seat back out, Nitto NT01 tires on cookie cutters on, brake fluid flushed, oil refill with VR1 20W50.
