What did you do to your 924/944 today

I had some issues with my order getting misplaced but the guy had really good feedback otherwise...and was apologetic with all the usual cat at my homework excuses...the quality was enough to forgive the mistake. Id buy from him again....but only once more if hes slow LOL.
I would suggest picking up some thin steel wire as I found the stock wires from my seat to be less then salvageable....and it really makes a difference being able to cut and bend to length where you want reinforcement. I think I used 20ga 306l I had lying around.
Id say it took me around 20 min to strip the seats...10 to beat and vacuum the foam....15 to clean a coke stain from the passenger foam...most of it just peeled off. So maybe an hour in prep time.
I stretched the seat backs first because I knew they were the hardest....probably spent 45 min on the first 30 on the second. watched a movie with the kids couple of shows...
My girls were with me on a part out a few weeks ago and while I was pulling a valance they spotted rear seat belts grabbed a pair of socket wrenches and pulled them. While I had the seats out they went into the garage and installed their seatbelts. They were so proud because they handled it themselves.
got to the seat bottoms....both bottoms in an hour I did modify them slightly before installing.just a small reinforcement for better mounting.. reassembly included a little pulling and adjusting of the seats...but I got them just right in about 30 min.
So all and all around 3 hours of questionable focus and productivity and $280 in materials. Im happy with the quality. I probably would have been better off paying someone to recover them....the local quote I had was $320 for the pair..my billable rate is well beyond $40 for 3 hrs lol....but my daughters are determined to get a 944 to restore for their first car....so everything we can do ourselves is an autoshop class for the twins.
Im very happy with the results at the price..they look new. If she passes emissions this week, I might get to prep and paint by the end of the month.

v2 wtf is up with this obsession with brute force ?
we're supposed worship our crappy four cylinder motors with timing belts about to snap off here on this forum.![manual](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rtfm.gif)
ummm i can't wait for my little pea shooter to blow. (after the supercharger goes on of course), so i can spend another 20 grand installing a real motor.

Went for a drive today.. for the first time since early November! Heck, I've had the car 5 months and she's been sitting for 3 of them. She ran great btw. Reminds me I need to do an oil change this month (if it ever warms up ; ) )

Touche.. but as an S2 with 60 more hp than mine, you could have driven farther and faster in those 4 months

Hopefully once my engine rebuild is complete it'll run like a champ for a couple years, but given my luck with the car the transmission will probably go out.
On topic, I inspected and cleaned up the bearings and rings in preparation for installation.

Yup. Just when you think you've fixed every"thing", you find out there's another "thing" that can break.

Finished with the lexan hatch last night, quite the time consuming job. Hopefully the weight reduction will be worth it.
Today I have to respray the front end, hope the wife leaves for work before I get started in the garage, it's going to be too cold to do it outside today (mid 50's).
