Finished the repaint and reconditioning of the new (to me) late model radiator fans fans and their support. Still have to do a trial fit to see if the fan motors are clocked right for the connectors. Getting there slowly in the cold. Hope to have the motor installed by early summer. Two or three minor projects going on all the time until I can get the garage space opened back up again.

Really good posts and pictures here!!

Drove my car 350 miles over 3 days after rebuilding the front ball joints using the rennbay kit, among other work. This car is so amazing!

Everything was great except at 70mph I still have a vibration in the steering wheel. Not the car, just the steering wheel. Not sure what it could be. Wheel bearings just got changed recently, too. Front and rear alignment is done, too.

Has to be wheel balancing? I know my steering shaft has play so maybe the wiggle is accentuated by poorly balanced wheels.
Any tips?

And the lock key, just no locks) Also discovered the front brake pad wear sensors were ruined by someone not changing them after the last brake job. And they let it go for a LONG TIME, the sensors are ate up. So going to need to replace those.
I HATE those damn sensors. I tried numerous times on N/A's and the turbo and have yet to reinstall them without breaking them. Since I'm always working on the cars, I decided to leave them off and short the wires so the warning light doesn't come on.

Looks a lot like the Zyclam Red, I thought it was too purple for Garnett.

I've found a color in a paint I like called Merlot Metallic. At this time it looks like that's the direction I'm going. Should turn out a tad darker and a tad redder than yours. But might just be the sun in the pic.

NICE. I'm in the beginning stages of creating a twin scroll crossover with a t3 flange for a TS hx35. Did you go 304 or 321 stainless? What are you doing about the wastegate? Do you recommend making them a 3piece construction? What diameter did you make the crossover? I'm thinking 1.75 on my twin scroll to keep velocity...I've seen where too big of piping hurts spool time.

Are your steering rack bushings in good shape? Also I don't know if you have a manual rack installed, but I know that in my car the same thing happens. I read (don't know if this is true) is that the reason that the 944 switched to a power rack after 83 was because people were complaining about it.

Carmona red is sort of a chameleon...lol

In full sun, the paint is as shown above.

At some points in the day (you know when everything is kind of "gold" colored as the sun is setting?) the red really pops out of the paint.

On overcast/rainy days the car is very purple.

It's out of 304ss, It'll have a 38mm vband wastegate off the crossover around the stock gate location. I'd do a 3 piece for ease of future service. I went with 1.75" primaries and 2.25" crossover.

Thanks! I'm going twin 1.75" crossovers and a divided t3 flange....I can't wait!

Awesome work by the way...looking forward to seeing it all welded up!

Got my first 5 HP boost!

And yes, it's about 3mm off center. And yes my OCD is going crazy. We'll see if I can live with it. The good news is I have a second one. That's why they give you two, lol.

The sticker as a whole was centered. Turns out the letters were not centered on it however. Grrrr....
