I got in it to drive to work on a 60 degree warm winter day. And...click, click, bzzzz!
No driving for two weeks. very cold temps. Not on the battery tender. Not enough CCA.
Maybe tomorrow, if the battery will respond to tending overnight.
Whats very cold temps to you? You must be getting **** batteries as you get **** fuel over there.
Here is my 924 starting at -25C°(i think thats -13F) after probably being unstarted in the cold for around a month, and using months old fuel. Its using a 3-4 years old battery.

I'm going to guess that he's got some kind of electrical drain going on- my 84 has always cranked and started up just fine, even at -10, and when sitting for a couple weeks.

I have no idea how old my battery is. Guessing 3-4 years. So, it could be on its way out.
I do think that the Alpine head unit draws a lot just maintaining its clock and configs. Last time the car was when was when we went out for that drive. Had a few 0F nights since then. I do think that I should proactively get a new battery, I guess.
After a few hours on the 1MA battery tender, it fired right up. Drove it to work just fine, with the ammeter showing 13V. Hoping it will get me home. I have one of those micro powercells, with USB ports and itty bitty alligator clips, which is supposed to jump a car. Hopefully I won't have to rely on it.
Its the biggest 924 event ever. Celebrating 40 years of 924, hence the name 92Forty. We will be driving in convoy from Germany, 924s from all over Europe will travel to UK. The event is, i think about 100km north of London. Guys from USA and Canada will fly over for this event. The event will have nice attractions, including a "track day". Special guests will include factory GTS and GTR cars.
92Forty will be in 21 May.
Sorting some of the new parts - I kinda feel bad for the guy at Porsche who had to package all these part codes consisting of 1-4 washers/seals/nuts/bolts/etc.
Using nasty 3M weatherstrip adhesive.
I planned to replace this hardpipe with single piece silicon hose... but now it's really pretty. Hmmm.
NOS steering rack bolts from 1992 on left. Original on right. Reference to newly zinc-clad bolts bottom.
Was finally able to complete Koni strut inserts!! I'm not really confident with how the dust shields attach - hanging from bump stops - am I missing something?
One of these socket button head bolts was included in cracked condition and I tried sourcing one on my own. Hint - Just ask Koni for warranty replacement - these are IMPOSSIBLE to find. M12 x 1.5 pitch.
Removed the white rear seat to replace with black rear seat. Both rear speaker panels next to rear seat were shot due to weather getting in the rear hatch and I've installed the new ones.
Put a solid 600 miles on the car. I still can't get over how comfortable the seats are. Never felt more alert after 8 hours of driving.
Found out my replacement windshield washer lines are loose on the old plastic, so I sprayed a bit of fluid in the engine bay. Nothing a zip-tie shouldn't fix.
Busy week, had the roof rewrapped, and the hatch strip replaced(only got close t0 5 years out of em)
Then had the slave cylinder fail the other night (really fun driving a car without the clutch pedal) So now have new clutch & slave cylinders
I'm pretty certain the oil pump housing has been leaking as I just did the front crank seal and pump drive in October (and the upper balance shaft is dry)... so now is an excellent time to re-do the seal while I have the oil pan off.
The power steering pump and lower balance bracket needed to come off.
Disassembled, cleaned, and checked.
Although they're not leaking, I've decided to re-do the balance cover seals 'while I'm in there'.
Now I just need to find the Loctite 574 or equivalent in Canada.
