Chunkerz, your car looks really sweet! I've seen your other pics and it's always looking great.

Thanks! It'll look even sweeter when I finally get it painted in the spring.

drove it around and then filled it up with gas.
managed 12mpg for the last tank.

when the 944 is your toy, you use the gas pedal as much as you can.

Today I set out to solve my fuse #4 popping issue. I started out by dismantling the doors:

Then I removed the window regulator/motor assemblies:

While removing the passenger side window regulator I stumbled upon what is most likely the cause of my issue:

While removing the drivers side window regulator I discovered that the window was not in its track and the foam liners for the tracks had fallen out. Luckily they were in the bottom of the door. The little plastic wheels for the regulators were completely eroded too so I ordered two sets from Rennbay. The regulators were also quite stiff (tested with the motors removed) so I disassembled, cleaned, and greased them up. Now they're smooth as butter. My windows should work awesomely once it's all back together

PlastiDip'd over the fading/chipping clearcoat red on my car. Just a hold over to paint next summer. Note - their new clear coat top-coat is a PITA to get on good. Runs very easily. Good from 15ft away.

came up with a design and started to fabricate a rear support bracket for my long-term supercharger project...
the front mount has been done for 2 or 3 years, just never any time to finish the project...but this is the major hurdle.

got the pieces cut out and holes drilled, but of course ran out of time to weld it together...next time..

Finished installation of the rebuilt power steering rack and new tie rod ends. The steering universal fitting on the rack kicked my butt but I finally got it fixed.
Did fiberglass repairs on the some broken ducting for the front brakes. Still a long laundry list of things to do to get the car back together.

You're using an Eaton M90 out of a Thundrbird, right? I don't suppose you made drawings of your brackets? I think a Roots supercharged 944 is a cool project, can't wait to see it finished!

No drawings, just turning steel plate into brackets by eyeballing it...lol

Halfway through making/installing some custom MSD spark plug wires, and started work on removing the disgusting bedliner that a PO (or dealership?) sprayed in the engine bay. Lots of goo-gone and elbow grease.

The air filter will be gone soon in favor of an adaptor that allows me to use the stock airbox. At the machine shop now...

You know what'd be cool...
Just take a dead AFM, drill out the center passageway and jam a 2.75" pipe through it to mate to the J-boot and airbox...it'd look stock
