Nice 944S, I can't believe how similar our cars are (will be) . I have an 87 'S that came up from Michigan, I'm in Ontario. I just did my previous black car in white, will be doing a manual steering conversion and bought 2 sets of 911 rims to use a square set up with the 2 fronts. My PO also did a cat delete and I was thinking of putting a universal cat on. It's that search that brought me to your post:

    "
I have an aftermarket "high flow" converter on my 944S and it works just fine. Got rid of the exhaust stank that was a result of the PO putting a straight pipe in place of the OE converter."

    Which one did you use?

Not too bad, I daily drive it and it's never left me stranded, though I have had some minor issues here and there. I haven't had it for its whole life, only the last year and a half, so I am still catching up on some deferred maintenance. Still starts up every time and pulls strong - well, as strong as a non-turbo 944 can pull, at least! I still have good compression, but it does burn/leak a decent amount of oil now, so I've been thinking about rebuilding the motor in the semi-near future just to bring everything back up to spec.

How's yours treating you? I'm always a little amazed when I get into a near-30 year old car with so many miles that it's still in better shape than a lot of 5-year old cars with less than half the miles - they did a good job building these back in the '80s.
