Thanks. Once the holes are filled and car is painted, should look pretty good.

I hope your pooch is OK. We just had to say goodbye to our 14.4 year old precious Golden, on Tuesday. Shattering. Give doggie extra love.

Default What did you do to your 924/944 today

Yesterday Dougs951S and I were driving around town in my 83 and the shifter linkage failed. We decided to swap in a Schnell SSK on the side of the road, at around 2:30am. Big thanks to Doug for being a homie and helping me out. The linkage failed at the snap ring, it came out of the groove. This particular linkage was one of the first ones I rebuilt with thrust bearings about 6 m ago, I guess the McMaster carr snap ring is a little too thick for the groove.

Today, I replaced my front wheel bearings and trimmed the brake dust shields a bit to make room for the 4-piston Volvo calipers that are going on once the paint cures fully.

Next weekend will be the rear wheel bearings. I'm on track to have all suspension wear items rebuilt or replaced with new before the winter. All that's left after the bearings is to do the rear bushings.

finished sanding and flat blacking it. now to get front fenders, rims, tint, interior, seats, drive shaft, and wide body kit. after that (small cosmetics for my pleasure) its time to rebuild and add hp to the engine/find an engine to swap out.

My timing belt / water pump / seals ++ projects continues. Today I removed the oil cooler and prepped everything for reinstall. However realized I don't have o-ring and washer for the oil pressure switch and washer for sender unit. Replaced the crankshaft seal, o-ring & oil pump sleeve - all went well. What's left: install oil cooler, install balance shaft seals, install cam tower, replace fuel lines, install water pump, install belts, install new hoses.
