What did you do to your 924/944 today

looks fixable if you want to...ok probably not worth it as airbags blew and windscreen is cracked...but if you had a parts car you could graft the front end from that one and fix this one with fairly little effort.

Dropped off a new battery to the guys fitting my Vitesse stage 2 turbo, and the sensor for my Zeitronix ZT2 wideband. Car is basically done so am hoping to pick it up tomorrow

I went with the Non AC setup.
From left to right: Oil, Clock, Voltmeter
I'm in the process of mounting the AC controls somewhere else.
I wonder where it will end up.
But yah, voltmeter a must ;-)

Deleted the speed/reference sensor connectors...they were causing an intermittent signal. This butt splices are just temporary until I get a nice bullet connector or something.
I know this seems crappy and rash, but I'm going to be migrating to standalone or an LS1 in a few months. In either scenario, the reference sensors and this harness will not be in the picture.
Most annoying part was that the shielding around the wires was actually serving AS a wire, so it had to be peeled off and twisted into a lead which was a little messy on the harness side. I'll be cleaning this up a lot more, but here is where it stands:

It has been way way to long but this is out now. Got a A/C delete on
Pulled this and got the glow gauges and new odometer gear on it
Changes a few colors. Got it set to a dark blue and down low so it does not kill my night vision

Fount two gallons of water in the spare tire bay, and wet-vac'd that shizz out.
Then I started to become aware of the rear hatch frame sealant delamination issue.
I got a 944 that was well maintained, mechanically, but is a little wanting for cosmetics.
Installed new black wheelskin and shift boot cover from only944.com. Much better.

She went out and got a 86 944 at a screaming deal for a near concourse car.
I'll go and register it on the thread, officially, when I get a VIN. She got it from a retired Marine Lt. Col who was introduced to Porsche through his wife, who has since passed away. He has a small collection - 944's, mg's, a cayman. He's a genuine lover of cars and this car is, as i'm told, just a few minor details from show ready. Has been registered with PCA in the past and will be again.
140k miles, stock as can be, needs timing belt (yes yes.. I know). $5700. I can't wait to go drive it

Looks like just a bit of a scrape on the back, you can fix that. Looks gorgeous otherwise. Solid deal!
I've been removing the bumper guard strips on the sides of my 924S. The driver side was missing when I bought it and looked unsightly because some of the glue and double sided tape was just baked on. And one piece fell off over the winter as well. So I said screw it I'll just take them off. It's been such a PITA, the adhesive they used is absurdly strong. Looks much better already though!

I put a windshield wiper drive arm and wiper blades on my 1988 NA 944 tonight, as well as hooked up an antenna wire, I had a windshield from a junkyard car installed Saturday and the antenna wire was broke, I also bought a carpet set, rear sunroof trim, visors, back hatch seal and a power window motor and switches from the junkyard car, forgot to get the gas cap on Friday and Saturday. Still needs power steering leak, sunroof and inop AC fixed, but I’m driving it to work tomorrow.
