Got a two for one on Previous Owner stories today....
Fuel Pump wiring came apart in my hands due to some poor splicing in of wire, ring terminals, no butt connectors on the splice, just twisted wires together and wrapped then in electrical tape. One wire had chafing where it was rubbing against fuel tank (due to no wire ties or anything else). Needless to say that got buttoned up.
Also fixed a "No Horn" situation.... Apparently the PO did something to the ground wire at the bottom of the steering rack into the sub-frame. Fixed that too and now my (kids) car is horny
Italian tune up made me feel better

Started replacing the exhaust from the cat back so I can hopefully pass emissions.
Who was the dumb@$$ who decided to make the cat one piece with the whole front of the exhaust?
It was a pain but nothing a sawzall can't fix.
Once the cat was off, it sounded like a pipe full of marbles. The whole thing was busted up inside.
Tomorrow I'll build up an adapter to go from the stock 2 /14 inch pipe to a 3 pipe leading into the new cat.

Decided not to wait 'til Hershey and purchased an eBay cassette lid. It looks OK...the finish is flat and I would have preferred a glossier/darker finish but it is strong. Came pre-drilled and fit without issue.
The picture is from the eBay listing.

I had a fun day disassembling my rear suspension to make way for new bushings, thicker torsion bars, and cleaning.
I started out by removing my trailing arms and disassembling them until I didn't feel like taking anything else off.
Then I proceeded to take apart the torsion bar housing.
This sway bar is so dinky that it's almost unbelievable.
You can see all the way to the other side!
After 26 years and ~112,000 miles my axles are beginning to look a bit tired
The pictured rubber items along with a few others in the rear suspension will all be replaced
The insulation on these wires was almost completely rotted away
My hand after I was done for the day
I somehow managed to break the upper banana arm mount at the top of the wheel arch If anyone has a good used one for sale please let me know.

Adjusted parking brakes. Turns out the passenger side is completely shot, I guess I have another project to add to the list. Got to drive some today after weeks of snow, ice, and road salt. Went pretty well, but on the way home from a quick errand I was getting a big stumble if I wasn't really easy on the gas pedal.
