I replaced my struts. Fortunately, it was easy since I sourced a ~10k mile set that were already assembled with springs, strut bearings, et. for $50. Simple swap in and swap out.

sides, rinse, wheels, rinse
different mitt for wheels, old worn one
check wheels, work with a small stiff nylon brush and PS21 as required, rinse
dry with a waffle weave mf towels (we can do both cars with 1 towel) pw uses little water
wipe all rubber/textured trim with 303 rubber stuff, tires too
clean glass

she waxes 3 times a year, 2 coats of klasse

the car looks good...

she's stubborn like me, so it was no easy chore 'teaching' her lol
made a deal, I'll do the mechanical maint., she does the optical
it has a 4 year service contract...they'll even pick the car up

I drove my '86, first real "road trip" for either of my cars. From Albuquerque up to Los Alamos and back to visit my son (who has a V8 951). Driving was from mile-high up to 7200' and back down. The car only had ~75 miles on it since being resuscitated from sitting for 7 yrs. Gave it new belts and rollers, new water pump, new fuel pump, and new tires. Cruising at 75 - 80 for an hour, then climbing up the hill into Los Alamos at 55, it ran cool, had excellent oil pressure, and gave me 32 mpg! Cruise control worked flawlessly, too.

All in all, one of those drives that makes it all worthwhile!
