went to the track, blew the motor. i think it's either rods or dropped a valve. as i exited out of the last corner on the track, motor started clicketyclackin. coasted the lap and pulled off pit road and drove it into the grass beside pit road. coolant was steady stream coming out the overflow tube. i think there was oil coming down on the cross member.
at home now waiting for the tow truck driver to show up. will start teardown tomm

the car had the original nut and bolt motor mount from 1986 on the drivers side and there is no room to work in there so it took me a long time (one click at a time on my ratchet, with the other hand holding a box wrench on the bolt) to get it out..

to just do the mounts, probably 5 hours, total 7 hours.

Had the tires remounted on the freshly painted wheels.
The 951 is off of jack stands for the first time in a few months (I almost forgot how low it sits)
Ripped out the rubber fuel hoses I was using for vacuum lines and repaced with silicone
Installed the wiring and sensors for an Apexi AVCR and a Zeitronix wideband
Cleaned and reinstalled the coolant expansion tank.
If I stay motivated for the next few hours, I might have all sensors hooked up and the intake back on.

I finally broke down and put tires on the BBS RS wheels I bought in April. The car got a lot of attention before but now it is getting crazy amounts of attention. These wheels would make a broken down junk yard dog look good. I have to get locking lug nuts as soon as possible because I don't want to park it out of my sight right now.
After I took the picture I noticed that you can see a reflection of the Black 944.
