hehe no. my car is a soft roadcar that sees a track a max of 4 times a year.

picking up where I finished off nearly about a month ago, I finished taking out the old bushings from my 968 arms and then started giving them a clean. The last bushing needed a slide hammer to get it out.

A lot of crud on there but they're coming along. not too sure how OCD to be, whether to go whole hog and then paint them or just give them a good clean.

Collection of parts of been hoarding for nearly a year for this swap. I need to get bump stops and dust boots for my struts.

J1NX3D - You're really going to like that lower control arm brace. Is that the one Pete sells from RSBARN?

It hasn't happened yet, but I've got a long date with a lot of rags and elbow grease to get my short block clean while I wait for the head to get back from being serviced.

I've also got a magnum of cider to keep my company while I do the afformentioned work.

Well the one Andrew has is the one Bob made, but similar. Also, if you have a Bursch header, it wont fit unless you clearance a couple of tubes.

Installed my mudflaps finally. Been sitting in my garage for 3 weeks because I had to do some body work on not only the rear passenger quarter panel but also the passenger front fender to make these fit right.

I am going for the Rally look

I FINALLY got around to taking my intake manifold off and replacing the vac lines with a venturi delete set up.

The only bad news is that the fancy pants magnesium manifold that the S cars have is starting to disintegrate which means I'll be able to secure less and less to it.

Good news is that I have an S2 manifold laying around now which will be replacing the current set up as soon as I get a throttle setup going. That will be pretty cool.

There should be a support on the far side of the manifold to keep it in place. You do have to be extra careful about over torqueing bolts on the Mg parts. Mine already had one that was a bit stripped thanks to a PO.

Not quite what I did TO my 944, but what I did to support my 944. It was a "while I'm at it" purchase. 60% off at Canadian Tire. I wasn't sure if it would fit in the back of the 44, so I had to come back with a larger vehicle. Oooh my garage is going to be sooo organized.

I discovered that pressure washing engine parts before reassembly is just a really good way to transfer oil gunk from the engine to the person. -.-

A day late reporting this...

I treated my old man, at 83 years young, to a bit of a road trip and hit triple digets once or twice. Don't think he's had that much excitement in the last 10 years.

Also swapped hood struts which was pretty much the easiest thing I've ever had to do on any car. Still in the "getting to know you phase" and so far so good.

Said 'goodbye' to the big hole at the bottom of the spare tire cavity with help from some galvanized steel, a little welding and a bit of Bondo-glass. Tomorrow I'll spray it with rubberized and paintable undercoating/rocker guard.
