Since I am not tracking the 944 anymore I decided to continue it's slow demodification by selling the 968 M030 front swaybar and going back to stock. This feels dirty but, hey, it lets me put more money in to other projects.

Installed a throttle cam. I like how linear I need to press my right foot down now. I know no hp gains but this was more about how the car feels and I approve.

Cleaned off a large amount of caked oil on the engine block.

In the process, I found 4 washers, a m8 nut and a razor blade in the gunk.

got the 944S running. new fuel pump, filter, strainer, hoses, and cleaned injectors. still needs some maintenance and fix a few minor things before I sell to my bro-in-law.

so picked up another project for me, 86 944 turbo.

Sold some spare Porsche parts (strutbar) and saving the dough for a Rogue na tune. As long as I sell car parts to fund new car parts, I can buy what ever I want..a compromise with the wife.

Honestly this is a terrible thread and it should die. Most of these items deserve their own post, and that would make it far easier to search for as opposed to going through hundreds upon hundreds of posts. All these posts will get lost to time and there is some good info and pictures here, totally unaccessible.

Has anyone seen or done a 928 front fender install on a 944. I have a pair of 928 fenders coming and plan on trying it and eliminating the 944 and 928 pop ups . I want too do in fender flush clear covered HIT duel headlights ad maybe integrated turn signals for a cleaner mor e updated look and better aerodynamics.

I lowered my rear for the first time today! Yaaaay! I don't think those nuts have been turned since the car was made. I broke a 24mm socket doing so. Those 24's were on there to a point where I didn't think I could get them off without a torch, but I did! I used some PB Blaster and soaked them some, then tried to rattle them of with an impact, which didn't work, but I suspect that kind of loosened them or broke them free. Then I got out the ol' trusty breaker bar and a pipe and got after it. A few busted knuckles and scrapes later, they finally started coming free. I'm pretty sure the penetrating oil is a must. I got everything adjusted and tightened everything back down. The car is still on jack stands, and will be for a while, so it will be a while until I can drive it and have it settle. I went down as far as I was allowed without re-indexing. I think it will match my front though, I have h&r springs up there and kyb's on all four corners.

Installed the white side plastic and the white 968 door handles.
I installed the smoked lenses a few days ago.
Waiting for the grey plasti-dip to show up so I can compare the different colors.

I changed out my Transaxle oil for the first time in my nearly three and a half years of ownership. The fluid that came out looked really good actually. Had a nice light gold color to it, didnt smell bad and was still really silky smooth when rubbing my fingers together. Changed it out with some AmSoil EP 75-90. Ill tell ya, that stuff is expensive. Like $14 a quart. Now my '44 runs both AmSoil motor oil and gear oil. She should love me ;-)
