yes but it has a ton of orangepeel still...painters explained its because iirc cali law requires certain type of paint which requires certain gun/spray pressure...ima take it to them and have them try to buff it out though.

nice to have it in one color...

Probably terrible water based paints like we have to use here. They need HVLP or high velocity, low pressure guns to shoot properly and even then they need more skill than two pack paints. Two pack is also ridiculously toxic when compared to water based paints. Water based paints also seem to be harder to finish properly after everything is dried and aren't as resistant to the elements.

Love the colour Spencer. The rims go really well with it too.

Noticed a few days ago my horn wasn't working, so today I removed my Momo wheel and found earth lead had separated from the horn switch, so I re-soldered the earth lead back on and now have a working horn again

Orange peel has nothing to do with waterbased paint. Poor painters have everything to do with orange peel. Not enough film build, or sprayed it too dry. Waterbased paints while different than solvent based are not THAT different. Most OEM's (recently built shops or recently upgraded to full automation) are waterborne, and some newer shops are even powder based.

That said, let it cure in some heat, then polish it up.

Default engine paint

Took the motor apart to the extent of replacing all the rubber seals, water pump, vacuum line fittings and painting of the major components. The Intake manifold is out for media blasting but the cam tower and the cam gear housing have been prepped with high speed brass wire brush, prime and paint.

Default best flashlight ever ?

cool find.... i keep a small cylindrical aluminum LED light (like the cheap ones they peddle at the register at Autozone) in each door pocket — as they tuck perfectly into the front corners.... well, i decided i wanted something brighter, but i had no idea my luck would turn out this good... back in the sporting goods section of Walmart, i came across this Coleman compact LED light packing 144 lumins. this is simply the most shockingly, bright flashlight i have ever seen or heard about.... and the bonus is that instead of some big, bulky deal, this thing is super solid, aerospace grade aluminum, and weighs 5 ozs. so i was late to the party but at least now, i'll have 1 normal flashlight, and the other good for turning night into day anywhere around the car....

thank you very much. i appreciate it.

i had the second failure of an actual part since i purchased the car. last year a bad ps hose. the problem with changing the hose still is not resolved. can't loosen the fitting. this year my starter motor started going bad. now changed. the new one is very stout. it was time. what an effin' ****box. 72 k miles (since purchase) and these two horrific repairs. everything else has been scheduled maint. brake shoes, rotors, etc.

I replaced the instrument cluster bulbs with LED, works actually nice and the dimmer works also.

Fixed the cargo cover hooks, the driver side dom light switch, now the dom light is on when I open the door.

Hapy thanks giving.
