Plugged RR tire (screw) and ordered replacement, retensioned cam and balance belts, replaced accessory belts, installed 7mm spacers in the front, swapped out MAF pipe, removed AOS hose to MAF pipe and connected it back to the LR catch can, and installed harness bar from my 924S with a 5-point harness bought from another lister recently.

Ready for a track day (PCA Time Trial) at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson tomorrow with fellow listers racerxrick and GARG. It's gonna be fun!

I think I pushed it a tad too hard and may have started my front wheel bearing down on the dying soon route. I checked on Pelican and is it really only 10$ for new ones..!!? Is that really all I need to replace the bearrings? Where is the 200$ part hidden at...?

I'm taking it to a Maaco that did another car of mine years ago and it turned out great. Estimate is around $900 but I figure it will be closer to $1000 to have some more body work taken care of.

The paint job will be much better with the stripped down car rather than tape lines everywhere.

Monday, 6:30AM, I will drive the 944 to the paint shop with no windows or hatch...should be interesting

Did mine last winter. You need 2 bearings and the grease seal if I remember correctly so 3 parts per wheel. Not the funnest job I have done for sure. Hard to get the old bearing races out. Easier to get the new ones in if you bake and freeze . Wife was not happy to find my wheel hubs in the oven but she got over it.

Haha, my car has overspray EVERYWHERE from a PO's paint job. They didn't even remove the sunroof for the job, let alone many other simple trim pieces, and even slightly tinted my front turn markets red..

That is one of the differences between a $1500 paint job and a $3000 paint job. Heck I picked up a car once with the paint sooo bad, I'm not even sure they taped it up!!!

Mine is like that too. There's tape lines on some of the trim and the bottoms of the mirrors have these huge drips hanging off of them that dried on there.

I changed a lower radiator hose in the parking lot of a Gander Mtn around 9pm last night. My radiator fan assembly got loose and a fan cut through the hose when I switched the AC on (long story).

Cheap paint jobs can actually turn out somewhat descent...but you have to do ALL of the prep!
