Looks like the Hankooks are getting very popular around RL.

What did I do today, I got the broken studs taken out of my turbo and dropped it off to be rebuilt.

I just got these tires myself. Like them already. These tires are known to improve dramatically after the 500 mile break-in. They're a really good deal, too.

An intrepid member of this forum had a set for sale MANY months ago. I got very lucky that they were not sold by the time I inquired (again).

They could very well be the last set of "Club Sport tires" in North America (having the N designation) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=26.

Got the turbo back from the rebuilder.
It felt ok but when the rebuilder got into it, the bearings and shaft were beginning to get worn down by loose carbon deposits. He machined the shaft, put new bearings in and balanced everything. Complete rebuild for $200. I'm happy!!

Arizona Turbo and Tractor Supply.
Joe is the owner.
602-253-9953
He does all kinds of turbos, tiny to gigantic ones for industrial applications.
He knew every piece of the Vitesse turbo just by looking at it.

Took mine out for its first proper drive in the 4 years I've owned her. Finally passed its test yesterday, got it insured this morning. I've had a huge grin on my face all day long. All that's left now is to tidy up the paintwork and the upholstery and the job is 100% complete

Default First time out since the flood...

Yesterday: I took Jake to the armory (a mid-week makeup drill), the first time he's been out since before the flood three weeks ago. Also: first trip with my new plates!

Today: a trip to Lowe's.

Porsche everyday!

(Got to get the flood mud off, though...)

Finished working on the turbo intake manifold. The p&p work is done. I painted the intake graphite, and the throttle body black.

I also aquired a factory turbo cat back exhaust, and spent an hour or so polishing it up nice and shinny.

Still working on the n/a manifold.

Just bought an 87 951 a week ago. Can't get boost beyond 1.2. Might have a small leak at the tie in tube. Did get new tires for it. Now wish I could put Fuchs on it instead of the Cup 2's it came with.
