It's great to give people the benefit but that truck was also carrying an Aston Martin and a Shelby among other cars. Cars that easily outprice this car by 10 folds.
I wish i could share more but this has nothing to do with the shipper. I was very impressed with InterCity.

[QUOTE=knfeparty;6531161]Despite any guarantees by the shipper, I know we've had some rennlist member's cars get really messed up (I remember one 951 that had several miles put on it and the engine blown!) by car shippers.

Wasn't that a claim made by the guy who later tried to sell the car as perfect? Hardly quotable...

lol damn I hope not but you might be right and if so I just got owned.

I shoulda used the search to look up the thread I was talking about....oh wait.

I wasn't aware that Intercity was a specialty shipper. It sounds like they would take care of it and aren't the type of company that could afford any bad rep.

7 pagess, and we still don't know what was so wrong with the car....

I guess Joska prefers not to get into those details..

Joska - mi a baj a kocsival? Jo lenne tudni - csak kivancsi vagyunk...

Yeah, it was MrPorsche951 who has been subsequently banned.

I'm curious as well Z-man. He's tarnished the seller's name anyway, he might as well speak up with what is horrifically wrong with the car. (Not saying either way, but I probably wouldn't make a post like this without stating facts). Never had an issue with Intercity though, only positive marks from myself and friends. Were they not the official delivery trucks for Carrera GT's IIRC?

all the guy had to do was answer the phonecall/e-mail and it didn't have to go this far, but if there is no other way to get in touch - except maybe to drive to his house or something

I wouldn't call it tarnishing, seems like all he wants is to get in touch with the seller and try to sellte this in private

not trying to put words into anyone's mouth, but, its reasonable, I'd do the same thing if I was being ignored

the guy that's not responding is doing it to himself (wrecking his own reputation)

I like to think that the people here are like the Ocean's movies-we've all shaken Sinatra's hand, and that implies shared trust. To see something like this jump the track is unsettling. I can't say I know Shawn, I've spent some time with Joska and he's an accomplished executive in the international auto industry and a true Porsche/968 enthusiast. Shawn should reopen up the lines of communication and try to resolve the situation.

Seriously, why are you posting this here w/o any explanation of what the shortcoming of the transaction actually is? This isn't an episode of Murder She Wrote - if you want people to know you got scammed, you kind of have to explain why you got scammed...

All I have to say is if Shawn will not answer any phone calls or respond to any e-mails he KNOWS he did something wrong.

Also Shawn was last on -- Last Activity: Today 10:37 AM You know he is reading all of this.
