I feel very fortunate to have been one of the last to successfully configure PCCB's with my car. Might have been a deal breaker if I could not have. I always wanted the 18-ways for the heat and that's what I got.

How are you guys who were/are almost dead set on PCCBs and LWB dealing with the prospect of speccing a car, probably paying ADM, waiting forever, paying a ton of dough, only to not get the precise car you really want? Anyone holding off and waiting?

Personally, I tried the LWBS and didn't like them, after about an hour my back started to hurt, so it was always 18 ways for me.
I want the PCCB mainly for avoiding dust and the yellow calipers, but on the other hand, I would love to save the $9k, risk of them breaking and the squeeing - so I won't be sad at all if I won't get them, I will just paint the regular calipers.

My order got kicked back because the LWCB was on stop order. I had to change to the 18way. I am hugely disappointed, but the fact that I get to be the first/only owner of my car and spec the rest of it the way I want, makes up for the fact that I don't get LWCB.

The demand for LWBS has little to do with comfort. It's more about functionality (on track), aesthetic, resale value, and the idea that a GT car should have nothing less.

you need to keep in mind where we are. In a Rennlist forum opinions are skewed towards PCCBs and LWB.

waiting for when? These are the last of the allocations. Could wait for an electric with buckets and PCCBs.

I have not; however, I'm familiar enough with the 18-Way seat to understand why there's a preference for the LWBS.

Jim D,

I did order the 18-way seats and for my use on the STREET they are the $hit !!!

On that Super Quick trip I made to San Antonio, Texas which was over 2,600 miles I cannot imagine having the LWB seats.
Or when I did the 2,000 Porsche recommended "Break-in-Miles" I did in 1-week.
It all comes down honestly to APPLICATION.

Have you ever driven a Porsche equipped with 18-Way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus? And "preference?" Who's preference? Yours? Can you please substantiate that with specific delivery data of the 718 GT4/Spyder equipped with LWBS versus those without?

I've owned two Porsches equipped with the 18-Way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus...a 991.2 911 Turbo S and a 718 Spyder. While the LWBS are beautiful seats and perform brilliantly on the track, they're not for everybody. Accordingly, my "preference" is for the 18-ways. I love them!
