Looks like we're brotha's from another motha!

I agree with the temp control in the S2000 - it functioned well enough for me not to nitpick about it. Truthfully, I only ran the system in winter (HEAT), because I drove with the top down 24/7/365 unless it was raining "TOP ALWAYS DOWN CREW!"

I like the feature in my M4, but I optioned this car with a sunroof, so I use the roof as my primary temp control bc I like fresh air.

Haha yeah exactly! I'm in California so there basically was never a time not to go top down. And then in winter I'd just put the climate at slightly above the midway point and it would be perfect. And then set the fan to 2 dots. Never needed more or felt like it wasn't enough.

A new Spyder allocation is still 20k over so this being close to MSRP is very fair. Prices may spike up once there’s an official production is ending announcement and everyone gets their deposits returned.

Not the spec I am looking for personally but the price is decent. Especially considering new car has a 5k+ spike in MSRP

Not 20. Many people, myself included, got one for much less. Let's say the average is about 10k.
[two years old sports car with almost 10k miles] VS [an allocation that you can customize to your liking, brand new] and the difference is 7k (10k adm vs 3k adm) = ridiculous

Not true, friend just engaged a broker to find him a Spyder allocation and best he could get was 18k over. Allocations are done being handed out for the GT4/Spyder by Porsche so all that's floating around is what will be left. So take 15-20k on top for a new Spyder, wait 6-12 months to get it delivered and you can't get certain options(PCCB's, Bose, Buckets, PDLS+, etc) makes a used car for MSRP-5k+ very appealing to most buyers. Plus factor in the 5k+ MSRP increase compared to 2020/2021 prices.

The flaw in above is assuming a buyer looking now can get an allocation

The listed price is only a used car asking price.

New build with same options and 10K adm is $125K due to price increases.

Yeah good luck finding an allocation at MSRP or less than 5-10k ADM at this point. Seems like all signs point towards MY23 being the end of the run for 718 GT4/Spyder. And other signs say all allocations have formally been handed out to dealers, so don't expect a ton more to trickle out to those seeking one.

I heard that before, and after a few hours of calls, I got one for MSRP (Spyder). My friend heard that, too, and after a few hours of calls, he got one for a GT4 for 10k ADM. Both of us are without prior relationships and not trading any cars.
Point is - with even a small amount of proactivity you could easily get an allocation.

Yeah I know you've mentioned that before, but I would consider that to be the exception and not the rule. For every case like yours, there are several "I've been waiting on x nunber of MSRP lists for > 6 months with nothing to show for it".

There are also folks that have called every dealer under the sun (myself included) with no such luck. Before getting my car, I spent an afternoon calling over 25 dealers and got nothing of value offered to me. One dealer had an allocation that they wanted 30k over for, another 50k (ridiculous I know). I ended up finding a GT4 at 15k over, which isn't great but not awful.

Yes, that was the case with both my friend and me until the point we actually decided we wanted a car and started doing something about it.
Before that, we were just chilling on 2-3 dealers' lists, waiting to get an allocation - this won't work.

edit: 25 is nothing, I emailed\called around 200
