It's observationally interesting how asset holders in a declining market get so wrapped up in denialism that they start resembling the band that continued to play on the Titanic as it sank. That's not limited to cars or even this forum but certainly doesn't seem immune. There was an asset bubble that took prices on everything from lumber to NFTs beyond what they would be in a normal environment and now it's rapidly deflating. How that's supportive of ADMs that were set at the height of the market for series production cars is beyond me. Buy the cars, drive it, enjoy it and if you're worried about what a whopping 10-20% depreciation has on your personal finances, you shouldn't have bought it but we all make mistakes.
It's the modern was of thinking. When was the last time they declared a recession? They simply change the definition, lol.
My local dealer offered a GT4 @ MSRP if I purchased $5k of "Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur" options. I spec'd my car out and told them I couldn't get there but I did include a bunch of other non "Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur" options and they let me have the allocation. Not sure why they specified "Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur" options. Maybe there is a higher profit margin for those options?
Which dealer is this? I’d be all over a ‘deal’ like that.
I asked Matt on Twitter and apparently that was an early 4.0 thing and no longer the case, whatever the specifics are.

Henry Catchpole has said the engines and manual transmissions are identical in his GTS review (not sure if PDK is different mechanically). We have not seen any test mules for the GTS models, they were released right after GT4 and Spyder. Plus it is probably easier (cheaper) to detune the engine electronically than mechanically considering you’ll need to design/develop new parts and do extensive testing to drop only 20hp or so.
Got no objections for someone with more experience than I to chime in about the engines in both models
Also worth noting Softronic has same tuned peak HP for the GTS and GT4/Spyder. Same is true for Cobb. So I believe it's just software as well.
Lexus of Jacksonville just took in a Yellow 2021 Spyder with 4500 miles on trade for a LC500 vert - they are asking $125,991. I asked them for specifics but they do not have any yet. If someone is interested contact Davin Tillman (davin.tillman@fieldsauto.com)

Sorry, I was told I had the last allocation. Also, I think there were other factors that played into it to include having some history with this dealership.

Ahh. So This is not the normies deal. History and "other factors" don't really count as an average Joe MSRP deal.

Porsche LIvermore has a nicely specced Spyder for 25k ADM.
Honestly, put aside the fact I want to customize my own car + ED, I wouldn't purchase anything from those guys just for how disrespectful they are.

This conversation with Matt Farah was had before the GTS was out and one in our hands. Since then we've verified the INTERNAL components are the same and we have modified 8 GTS cars with our 4.5L package with great success.
