This is funny you say this because for me my favorite climate control system was actually in my S2000. The temp control I found to be very very good and the car was ALWAYS in a comfortable temp for me and I could make small adjustments as necessary. Fan speed was very customizable to for a car built in 2005 and it was perfect. By contrast my M2 Competition and Supra had the worst climate control systems.
I agree with the temp control in the S2000 - it functioned well enough for me not to nitpick about it. Truthfully, I only ran the system in winter (HEAT), because I drove with the top down 24/7/365 unless it was raining "TOP ALWAYS DOWN CREW!"
I like the feature in my M4, but I optioned this car with a sunroof, so I use the roof as my primary temp control bc I like fresh air.

[two years old sports car with almost 10k miles] VS [an allocation that you can customize to your liking, brand new] and the difference is 7k (10k adm vs 3k adm) = ridiculous

Not 20. Many people, myself included, got one for much less. Let's say the average is about 10k.

The listed price is only a used car asking price.
New build with same options and 10K adm is $125K due to price increases.

Yeah good luck finding an allocation at MSRP or less than 5-10k ADM at this point. Seems like all signs point towards MY23 being the end of the run for 718 GT4/Spyder. And other signs say all allocations have formally been handed out to dealers, so don't expect a ton more to trickle out to those seeking one.

Point is - with even a small amount of proactivity you could easily get an allocation.

I heard that before, and after a few hours of calls, I got one for MSRP (Spyder). My friend heard that, too, and after a few hours of calls, he got one for a GT4 for 10k ADM. Both of us are without prior relationships and not trading any cars.

There are also folks that have called every dealer under the sun (myself included) with no such luck. Before getting my car, I spent an afternoon calling over 25 dealers and got nothing of value offered to me. One dealer had an allocation that they wanted 30k over for, another 50k (ridiculous I know). I ended up finding a GT4 at 15k over, which isn't great but not awful.

Before that, we were just chilling on 2-3 dealers' lists, waiting to get an allocation - this won't work.
edit: 25 is nothing, I emailed\called around 200
