Yes, you can choose exterior DRL (TFL) with side markers on or side markers off. Both settings will illuminate the gauge pointers.

I tried enabling this on my 981 and it unfortunately didn't work. The coding was successful, but the needles still aren't illuminated unless the headlights are on. Is this only for 718?

Try the setting in the picture: (Schlusslicht) Tail light has to be on. If I'm not mistaken, this is the typical setting in northern Europe/Scandinavia (daytime running lights and tail lights on during the day). Somewhere on the previous pages this has already been described...

I retrofitted a oem back up camera and piwis sees the camera and when I put it in reverse. I am getting a communication error. I think it's looking for a module but I do not know which one and how to code that it does not have it. Anyone know how to check which module it is looking for? Is it looking of parking aid? how do I disable all parking aids?

Did you add the camera option under F7 => Maintenance of Vehicle data then Auto Code the appropriate modules?

no I just added the camera and used M.I.B to update pcm. How do you add using f7? This is a 981 that I installed a PCM 4.0 into. Will I still be able to do the F7? also on a different note I did a 718 multifunction GT wheel on my 981 with a 718 clockspring would I have had to do the F7 also? and once again would this work being that the car is a 981 using 718 parts?

You have to find the option code then add it to your Vehicle Order. Save it then Auto Code.

I don't know if PIWIS will see the PCM 4 or 718 steering wheel on your car. I saw someone in the 981 forum who retrofitted PCM 4 maybe ask there.
