I am trying to get the doors to lock automatically upon exiting the car after a certain amount of seconds. I have successfully added the relocking menu to the instrument cluster but the doors are not locking after the time period lapses. This idea is based on the attached page of the owner's manual that says this feature is possible.
I am using the following codes :
Front-end Electronics: Coding value- Key 1- Key 1 Auto Lock bit 1 = Yes {Default: No} [I only coded one key but tried one key then the other to make sure I had the correct key]
Front-end Electronics: Coding value- General- General, relocking starts with lid closed = Yes {Default: No}
Instrument Cluster: Board computer menu configuration- Board menu configuration byte 2- Relocking time = 1 {Default: 0}
Front-end Electronics: Coding value- Comfort functions - Comfort functions via door lock = Yes {Default: No}
I believe the PIWIS code for the last code is I believe is Komfortfunktion Ueber TSZ. I do not know the PIWIS codes for the other codes but have attached a translation to German using google translate but it is not that readable.
I am not sure that the first code is relevant since the next two codes use the term relocking but could not find anything else to turn this function on.
I also don't really think the comfort functions via door lock has anything to do with this function, but I have no idea what this code does so I thought I would try it.
Never mind on my last post. I misunderstood what the relocking feature does. If you unlock the car, the car will relock automatically after 30 seconds if no door or luggage compartment lid is opened. I have had the car over three years and never had the car relock. I guess I don't unlock the car and not open the door. No need to code this feature because it is already enabled.
Beautiful work with this. I am looking at doing this to my 2019 macan. I believe there is coding to be done to the PCM, kombiinstrument and frontkamera. Did you do this with manual coding or with automatic coding?
I haven't been able to find too much info for this anywhere, but I have done it on my Audi vehicles in the past so I am imagining the coding/adaptations will be very similiar. Or it may not be.
One thing I hope it does not need any datasets to be flashed to the camera for this to work.

Unfortunately, I was not able to make this work. I did the Manual coding following the Audi and VAG forums. Correct, I coded the Cluster, Camera and PCM. There is no module for Image processing on 718 unlike Audi. Either the NAV map is not TSR compatible and/or the TSR Camera firmware is not supported. UK 718 has that enabled but not US. It could work on your Macan because you have different modules. Find out if the US NAV map is TSR compatible on Macan.
So I am in Australia so it may be different altogether regarding whether to be using fusion mode or sign detection on the camera. Fusion does not work here so it will not use the map data. I believe it is only the A6/7/8 that use the image processor module so hopefully this wont be an issue. Here we also need a dataset for the camera so even if you code the car correctly, without a dataset most cars wont work. This is something that I hopefully will need to figure out.
Two things that annoy me a lot -
1. AC turns on automatically with the car
2. Volume for CarPlay keeps resetting to 50% or something like that, which is no where near enough for a noisy car as the Spyder
anyone found a good/reliable/working! source for 42.xxx version(s) of PIWIS s/w?
I recently upgraded mine through VXDAS to ver. 41.8, it adds support for the GT4RS and 992s....I think if you order the whole system from them now you will get ver 42 or newer

I find it crazy that there are websites out there selling stolen goods and Porsche doesn't take them down... Just imagine someone selling a Netflix streaming service for 10% of the price.
Anyone figure out if there is a way to turn on the HOLD light when hill hold is engaged? I believe GT cars don't have the light some reason (seems to be software related)
Edit: Actually I think GT cars only have drive off assist, not hold...
My Spyder has something like that which I disabled. No light on the dash tho. But it would hold the brakes if I was on a hill. It actually annoyed me and I coded it out.
But that's different from what my Macan does - the Macan, you can pump/tap the brake pedal quickly when at a stop and it will hold the brakes (if you're on a hill, or not...) until you hit the gas pedal.
So I think "hill hold assist" is what the manual GT cars may come with. Probably different from the "HOLD" functionality in the manual.
Did we ever figure out a way to illuminate the gauge pointers, too? Not just the gauges?
The only way to illuminate the pointers is to enable the rear daytime running lights, sometimes referred to "Scandinavian Tail lights" because it is a requirement there.

Can you point to where this option is located in PIWIS?
