Lower speed limit to open the top. How can you open the top with Touch Control at 10 km/h? This has to be the button operation
Thank you. I believe that is what I am looking for. Do you know what happens if that code is changed to 0? Will the top open without the need to hold the button in the car?
You are correct that the 10 kph parameter relates to the button in the car.
My last post covered two different topics. The first topic relates to opening the top with the button in the car without having to hold the button.
The second topic relates to locating the code to both open and close the top using touch control.
If you are referring to one-touch operation of the convertible top, I would love to figure out how to code one-touch operation, if possible. I have seen posts that suggest that it is likely possible since the Smart Top has this feature, and the Smart Top is only sending codes that the car already understands.
I would like that too Looking forward to the result.
I actually think the two codes I marked below may be the answer to one touch opening and closing of the top. These codes translate to comfort opening roof and comfort closing roof. It may also be necessary to reduce the 10 kph setting in the code posted above to 0.

I found the code comfort functions via door code (attachment 2), which I believe is Komfortfunktion Ueber TSZ. I changed this code from no to yes. I also changed 981 soft top coding touch control (attachment 1), which I believe is 981_Verdeckcodierungen Tippbetrieb, from no to yes. I still was not able to open my top with the touch controls.

This is what I have the SmartTop module installed for, it also modifies the operation being asked below.

Before I installed the SmartTop (Spyder) you had to hold the console switch to operate the latch mechanism, with the one-touch function enabled I just have to touch the button once (inching) to have the operation start and complete.
But there is there a function for closing the top from there?
Nothing related to close the top. This was based off the 2018 wiring diagram and could be different from yours. I don’t have the latest wiring diagram which can only be accessed by PPN (Porsche Network)
According to the owner's manual, if the car is moving more than approx 10 kph (6 mph) and less than approx 50 kph (30 mph), the top opens automatically (you do not have to hold the switch). I tried this and it did not work without coding.
I changed 981 soft top coding touch control (attachment 1), which I believe is 981_Verdeckcodierungen Tippbetrieb, from no to yes. I also changed General Parameters for Lower Top for Inching Mode from 10 to 0 (attachment 2), which should be Allgemein-Parameter: Verdeck untere Grenzgeschwindigkeit.
As a result of these changes, I can just press but not hold the switch in the car to put the top down even while the car is not moving.
This does not work to put the top up (still need to press and hold). However, this seems consistent with the owner’s manual since it does not say anything about one touch operation to put the top up while traveling at more than 10 kph.
I also changed the code to have the windows stay closed after putting the top down. For some reason the windows stay at about three quarters up when putting the top down rather than the windows being all the way down. Can someone tell me how to fix this? I tried resetting the window limits and that did not fix the issue.
I also confirmed that I could put the top up with the door handle but not down. Still looking to see if there is a solution for this.
Note that in my original post, I changed a third code for comfort functions via door code, which I believe is Komfortfunktion Ueber TSZ from no to yes. I changed this back to no since I confirmed that this change is not needed. Anyone know what this code does?

You have to check your settings in rear BCM under Verdeck coding. I just coded this on a BGTS today. The windows rolled back up no matter what we used to open/close the top after we changed those settings. This has been posted above.

I am not sure what I need to check. The code for Soft top codes, window regulator close after soft top open with bed switch (which is verdeck codierungen fensterheber schliessen nach verd.oeffnen mit bed schalter on the piwis) is set to no so that the window does not close after I open the top. Is that what I need to check or something else?
Are you saying I should set both codes highlighted in yellow to yes?
The code for verdeck codierungen fensterheber schliessen nach verd.oeffnen mit bed schalter was set to yes from the factory. This is the code that says to close the windows after opening the top with the bed switch in the car. However, I would prefer the window be completely open after I open the top so I changed this code to no. Is there something else that I need to do to have the window stay open when I open the top?
The other code is verdeck codierungen fensterheber schliessen nach verd.schliessen mit fernbedienung which is set to yes since it says to close the windows after closing the top with the remote control.
Based on 718Socal's suggestion and a post on the 718 Forum, I turned off inching mode, put the window positions back to factory codes and cycled the roof with the inside button a couple times. When putting the top down with the switch in the car, the windows go all of the way up (which is the factory setting). However, when putting the top down with the key fob, the windows stay at three quarters up rather than going all of the way down. Is that how it works for others?
