I would agree on the elimination of the wart. I put an aftermarket head unit in my 10 GT3. The installer put the antenna under the plastic cover for the windshield wiper mechanism. Never had a problem with reception.

If Porsche had wanted to sandbag their times at the Nurburgring why would they have invited controversy and used Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires?

I read somewhere that PAG wanted to shoot for a time of 7:15. Considering that R tires are about 8-10 sec difference over non R ones on NBR it kind of makes sense they were hedging their bets a bit.

True but that car isn't what I would necessarily call small and light....it's actually the opposite of small and light.

Sounds reasonable, even frank walliser said they are not "expected" the lap time to be so good as 7:09.

In one of the videos I watched, it said the front lip was longer than the gt4. As it is, I scrape the gt4 lip on a lot of stuff given the hills here (and some roads I simply have to avoid). The axle lift will raise the car 1.1 inches. Seems like the car is going to scrape its chin just as much with the axle lift. Thoughts?

Thoughts about the re-sale value of the GT4 RS?

The retail price tag is already high; is there an upside for this as a future classic, and what would be key equipment / specs. to go for to keep the 2nd hand value as high as possible.

Thoughts and perspectives appreciated!

I believe the price of the 992 GT3RS will make your eyes bleed and make the GT4RS look like the bargain it is.

Well, I might never, yet I prefer to buy cars that I believe keep their value or appreciate over time.

I currently own a 991.2 GT3 Clubsport PDK which I am weighing against the new GT4 RS.

I had one of those too. Terrific cars so appreciate your dilema. I sold my GT3 and got a PDK GT4 in March (I also have a heavily modified 981 GT4 track rat) because I like the more cosseting feeling in the cabin of the GT4. I do quite a lot of country/mountain backroad tours and the GT4 to me is more engaging in that role. I ordered an RS today with possible 3rd quarter 2022 delivery. Spec for spec a little bit cheaper than a 2017 GT3 clubsport in Australia. A new 992 GT3 is about 20% more on a spec for spec basis and the new 992 GT3RS wil be over 40% more on a spec for spec basis.
The GT3 is no doubt a better car from an engineering perspective but I've become a Cayman sort of guy in my dotage.
Very much first world problems!!!!

The GT4 RS cabin may be VERY cosseting with those intakes 😃

I am waiting for an allocation … 😏

I really like the Mag wheel design but find it a bit hard to swallow......I will skip it and just get an Antigravity battery and Forgelines for the track.
