Yeah, all you have to do is drop in the GT3's engine. LOL.
IF they're using the GT3 engine, which we don't know at this point. Considering all the R&D required to create the 4L in the 718 GTS / GT4 / Spyder, I would be surprised if they turned around and did all the work necessary to wedge the GT3 engine into the GT4RS. Totally possible, but seems like a stretch to me. Rather, by improving the existing 4L's internals, opening up the exhaust flow, different engine tune, etc., I would expect that's how we are seeing the 9K redline in the 4RS.
But we don't yet know what engine is in the 4RS, and it will be fun to speculate until the car is officially unveiled.
My .02, it sure sounds like a 991.2 GT3 to me, especially that signature 7-9K RPM mechanical sound that I remember when I have driven GT3's
Not that they sound radically different, but I would assume the 4RS gets the newer 992 GT3 motor (with ITB's and OPF's - or OPF emulators in the USA) as it runs a little cleaner (if it shares engines with a GT3)...
At this point we don't really know how much the power increase is... so I guess that depends on what you consider "big power"?
Looking at speeds on the straight on the Nurburgring, it was around 2 km/h slower than the 991.2 and 992 GT3, and equal to the 991.2 GT3 RS. This makes me guess it's around 490 PS mark, given the others I mentioned are 500-530 PS.

Take also into consideration weight, corner exit speeds and aero, or lack of it (drag) compared to other models....it's more than power
Big power = more than the 414 in the GT4 / Spyder.
A masterful understatement!

That large wing alone probably ups the power requirements...

Sort of my guess, I said about 485BHP in other posts...
As a package we now know it works but the devil is in the details, Cup 2R tires and the like go a long way to lap time at the ring.
