1. Offer stupidly expensive option with an evocative name that does nothing worthwhile
2. Make it unavailable to order

Re: this GT3 engine in the GT4RS, I heard Frank Walliser say that it is basically a race engine. Hmmm. You don't often here factory representitives refer to their product as race equipment, perhaps out of fear that customers will treat them as race engines. Can someone elaborate on what Porsche has done to make the 992 GT3 engine special?

Any info on why "metallic" paint is (5x) more on RS vs standard GT4? Special "lightweight" formula (less coats)?

I mean... if you're paying all that money for fancy paint... it seems like a dick move to limit you to a version of the car that leaves a third of it unpainted. PTS should be 2/3rds the cost when in conjunction with WP.

GT4 RS engine has ITB just as the 992 GT3 engine.
991.2 didn’t have this… only the Speedster and final 991.3 RS WP.
992 GT3 was reconfigured with a view to being put into the Cayman this time around… so they ran oil lines differently and allow repositioning of the new composite oil reservoir.
