Maybe not new, but it looks like yellow may be coming back for the RS

Yeah.

But then, just as we have people in this very thread balking at what their idea of a "purist" is - there are LOTS of people out there who would NEVER own a "modified" Porsche, and scoff at those who do.

I have 7000 miles on my Spyder now (took delivery in July), have autocrossed it a few times already, and the reactions I get are polar extremes: "OMG you're putting so many miles on it!" or "Hell ya so glad to see you really using it for how it was intended!" There are plenty of Porsche owners, even RS owners, out there who think that "redlining" your car hurts it.... they drive it to cars and coffee events, then take it back home and park it.

I don't put too much thought into what others think especially when it comes to putting miles on a car... you want to buy a car and not drive it, go buy a Ferrari... their owners hate driving their cars

I daily drove my 458 10k miles in 8 months, including in the snow. Generalizations are dumb.

Ran into Matt Farah Sunday at Malibu C&C. He is getting a 2022 frozen berry spyder and having it delivered directly to Rick Deman for the 4.5L engine swap and gears (cost about $45k all in for deman) - should be on the road in a couple months. He could care less about the RS as it wont be manual. I think he may be onto something. An RS is an RS is an RS... but for less money you can have a better car. SO there you go!

True...but they are the result of an image created by a group of people. Not everyone is like that but most probably are.
If you use or do surveys for your business/job they are definitely not dumb....and those are generalizations as a sample will never be 100% of the target group.
I applaud that you did drive your Ferrari.....I also think the same way and drive/track my cars without thinking to much

True. Plan to go 4.5 in my Spyder as well...the package is just too tempting. My car is already frenetic with shorter gears and 4.0...cant imagine what the DeMan setup is like.

Yeah, fixing gear, upgrading clutch, plus a lot more power.

Wow, just watched the videos on the 4.5l in the GT4, amazing power, everything I saw was about the 981 and the original 3.8l from that car, are they using a 3.8l and swapping out the 9A2 EVO for the 718 cars? Did Matt say why he chose a Spyder over the GT4?
