How awesome would that be!!
They are definitely sandbagging, and for marketing purpose, a cheaper car can't run faster, so it was engineered to be 10 secs slower than 992 GT3.
And I saw lots of understeer in that lap inducing lower speed in the corner, beside the vents and aero difference, maybe the front tyres are also "designed" to be 245. I think some easy mods to the tyres and suspensions can make the car go nearly as fast as GT3.

Oh God lets not start the GT4RS mod discussion just yet!
By the way things are going most of the mods from the GT4 probably wont fit so it will be back at waiting for vendors to develop the usual stuff.
I know my first mod will be a set of Forgeline with Hoosiers....probably in 20" by the look of the brake clearance.

10 sec difference with the WP leaves some distance between the two. I was wrong about thinking they were only 5 secs off. Didn’t realize that was the “short” track time.

makes more sense now. Still a bit insulting. I consider Rennlist a valuable resource in my Porsche owning experience. Learn a lot here and is usually my first stop ref Porsche content. So I would consider most feel the same.

My take away with the sneak preview of the Watches in both regular and Weisach edition:

I was concerned that Porsche would build the RS with most options included and a very limited number of choices. But the clues gathered in looking at the watches appears they are following the business mode that has worked so well for them in recent times - to offer a "reasonable" base price, and allow those who want to be a very special car to check as many options as they wish. I hope I am correct which will allow me to build a car with just the essensials and keep the cost in check, while allowing others to build the super Cayman with plenty of lightweight Carbon Fiber bits and everything wrapped in leather and deviating stitching. We will know soon enough.

All the best,

Matt

I agree Matt.....I'm actually surprise there's a WP as this segment doesn't have a lot of flexibility for pricing.
Never the less, I'm pretty sure the base price will be a substantial jump from a GT4.

Possibly $130k? Since the GT4 starts around $100K.

It's anybody's guess right now.....if you ask me you might be very close as I would price it right in the middle between a GT4 and a GT3....$130-140K base price
It also depends on what options (if any) on the GT4 would be standard on the 4RS.....

With WP, magnesium wheels, some exterior and interior staffs, then sticker price will be over 180k.

Guys,

I think your leaving out a Very-very-very important part of the "Final-Cost" ???????????????????

That little-ole ADM (Additional-Dealer-Mark-Up)

Anyone want to take a Wild-***-Guess on what that's going to be at the different Porsche Dealerships like in Sunny California ???

Terry

True....in my case I don't have to worry about that but lots of dealers will ask ADM.

Well the obvious would be PDK, then you normally have LWBs. With the recent price increase in Germany for GT3 & GT4 of roughly 3% that'll add ~ $10k to the price of a GT4. Now you get all the RS bits added on top of that.
