I'm on the list for an RS at my dealer (and my SA thinks I'll get an allocation). They will set an ADM once they survey the market, but I expect it will be $20-25k. This will be a track car for me, as I sold my M3 race car last year.

I’m on every dealer’s spyder rs list in the dfw area (4 of them), most probably being the first person to contact them about it. They all responded with “you want to buy a WHAT?!”
I expect to never get even a whiff of one; big dogs will get all the bones. “Place in line” means nothing, I’m pretty sure, with a car that will be this rare and highly coveted.
I’d feel like a fraud with a 4RS; no way I would track it enough. But a spyder RS…depending what way they go with it, I guess; track warrior or extraordinary road car. If it’s like a speedster, then hell yes. But I give myself 0 chance of opportunity.

My dealer just offered me a 718 GT4 RS allocation for $100k ADM as a favor because my promised winged GT3 allocation has not materialized so far. Also was offered GT3T with $150k ADM. For context we just purchased a 2021 992S and a 2021 Cayenne from him this summer. Bought two other cars from him in 2018 (718 S and Macan S) that we traded in giving him two more cars to sell in a tight market. I could afford it but I told him thanks but no thanks. Feeling glad for the cars we were able to get. Took the 992S for a long drive to cool off my anger/frustration. Realized this is a first world problem and that the tables will turn eventually and he will be calling me and offering discounts to move cars.

It really is sad. I mean, I understand it is a capitalist environment, but greed really brings out the worst in people.
There is a reason that they say money is the root of all evil and it's true.

I swear to you I am not; I legit am planning on adding this to my current garage (which is now a GT3 and older WRX), but I'm hearing that dealerships are asking HUGE ADMs and I can only afford so much. I can do, at absolute max, 15K over MSRP, but literally nothing more. I have a feeling that even with 15K over, I'm not going to be able to score an allocation

I can do, at absolute max, 15K over MSRP, but literally nothing more. I have a feeling that even with 15K over, I'm not going to be able to score an allocation

Unless you really can't wait then the best option is move back from the table and wait, no guarantees of course but paying huge ADM seems to be a game for the very wealthy, playing into this game IMHO only perpetuates it!

But the Speedster isn't an RS, it's a regular GT3 underneath. It is to the GT3 what the regular Spyder is to the GT4.
